Chapter 24: Hunting the hunter.

Inquisitor Amor strolled back to his vehicle; something was off. Either she hid something or didn’t realize some unexpected things trawled her. He fished out his phone and pulled out Jasper’s number to dial. His eyes landed on the door of his car, where a claw mark was waiting for him to get confirmation of someone’s presence.

His jaw clenched in reflex, and finger pads caressed the metallic peels.

“Hello, Amor.” Jasper jeered.

“Somebody is here,” Amor replied in a lower tone.

“What? Where are you?”

“I think he is keeping a close eye on her,” Amor replied calmly, but the air brought a pungent smell, pulling his senses in that direction.

“I will call you back.” He threw the phone on the front seat and looked around to see if someone was watching him. He was the man who worked on his instincts, and these continued alarming his senses, wanting him desperately to look into the folds of woods and find the one.
