10 | The Man He Least Expect

'MAKARI'

My eyes almost rolled due to the speed and heaviness of my breathing. I'm like a fish out of water and now chasing air. My body still didn't stop shaking and beads of cold sweat keep on rolling down my forehead.

They're here. They found me. No. They're after me!

During our last six years here at Golden River, every night Mama Amelia and I wished that this was the last place we would move to; the "safe" place we longed to. But I can't believe that this afternoon, those six years are coming to an end just because of a black witch currently chasing us now.

"Breathe, Makari. Breathe!" said loudly the person driving the car that made it possible for me to get away from the witch chasing me now.

He quickly maneuvered the car and entered a deserted road. Woods can be seen on both sides of the road. It looks like we are on the outskirts of town.
