I tried to not get my hopes up as I was walking out of my office. Last night when I was with Rex, I had been in a funk. After the first night of trying the Wolf Tonic and drinking myself into a stupor, I learned to pace myself a bit more.

When I ordered the drink last night though, I had just sat there spinning the glass around. Usually, Rex and I had a good time, even talked a lot. Except for last night, I had just sat there trying to process everything.

Rex hadn’t pressed what was bothering me, although I did tell him. We have gotten to the point that we now understood each other. He seemed to understand I just needed to deal with it on my own, which I had appreciated.
