I was stupid to have thought that the squad would be anything other than accepting of what we shared with them. Their support of me, even despite the craziness, touched me deeply.

I finally had family and friends. Here there were people who I loved and who loved me in return. These were things that I never imagined experiencing. There was no way that I could imagine life without that now, and I was not sure that I would be able to survive without it.
