Chapter 1 Is this the beginning?

It's just another dream for Stella. Stars winking and the breeze starts to pierce her skin. She stops as she felt her knees wobble. "How many times do I have to have this dream" she murmured. Suddenly the water in the lake starts to shimmer, directing her to the tree of fireflies. Her heart starts pounding when she saw a familiar figure under the tree. She gathers her strength as her knees try to stand her up and give her a little courage.

Two steps forward...

Then another four steps...

Six......

Seventh ....

Tenth...

Then she stops, 'Is this right? Should I go and see him?' her clutter mind asked her. Then her feet take ten more to twenty or a hundred, she doesn't know anymore, she just stops counting as the figure gets clearer and clearer.

"You are here" the man spoke, then their eyes met.

Now, the four-steps seem to be an inch away as her eager body wanting to erase it. She wanted to grab him and bury her face on his chest. To feel the familiar scent again and listen to the beat of his heart. His blue-sky eyes reflects tenderness and longiness. While Stella's eyes hold the darkness side of the moon, clueless and fidgety. Her mind zoom in a panic zone, library of word were lost as her tiny little cells looking up and down where are the record of this man been left. Have she forgot her name as well?

"Hi," she said but her words were lost in the thump of her heart.

"Hi" he smiled

RIIIIINGGG!!!!

Stella woke up as her alarm goes on. 'Why do I have to wake up this early' she murmured and grab her alarm clock and suffocate it with her pillow. "Arrgh!" she screamed and squinted her eyes, and stop the clock that ruined her wonderful dream. Stella Henderson, a 24 years old lady who lives with her Nana in a small village in Glaslough, they have a wonderful home with a big garden where her fantasy and her books meet. They own a small bakery at the corner which bread and pastries are well-loved by the folks.

"Good Morning!!!" Lalaine greeted happily as she jumps on the bed to hug her

"Is it too early for you to be here?" she asked

"Duh!! It is my day-off and I can't afford to be stuck at home with that hooligan" she said as her eyes narrowed, seemingly remembering an awful day. "Besides it is already 10:30 AM" she said as she grabs the alarm clock underneath her pillow.

"Still early" she shrugs and covers herself back down

"Come on!" Lalaine hugs her "Nana Upeng already baked pandesal and your neighbors seem to like it so much. I didn't even taste one!" she said sulking as she tries to remove Stella covers

"How can you be so energetic?" she asked and slowly opens her eyes

"Well, because I am here with you silly!' she chuckles

"Why I feel grossed out on so many levels?" she said jokingly as she tries to carry her body away from the magnetic force (her bed).

Lalaine pouts and hugs the throw pillow as she watches Stella drag her feet and body all the way to the bathroom.

"Are you sure they will come today?" she asked as her eyes look at the chime on the window that dancing with the wind.

"Sure, a hundred percent!" she screamed through the cracks of her bathroom door

The water spring out like a dash of small knives piercing her skin and her jet black hair feels like dried seaweed set out for the sun. Nana told her to always use the conditioner but she always seems to forget. Now she has to suffer the consequences.

"Okie" Lalaine responded and jumps out of bed and ramage Stella's desk. Lalaine always describe Stella desk as jigsaw puzzles where every piece are in the wrong spot and yet they fits perfectly. Lalaine Smith is a fashion designer on a small boutique in town, she have a beautiful voice that can make anyone fall in love with her, and eyes as peaceful and as wild like the ocean.

"Lala!" Nana Upeng called out

Lalaine peeks out the window and saw Nana Upeng prepared breakfast on the patio. The flowers are more radiant today and the trees seem to be dancing together with the chime. She can't help but take a deep breath and smile. What a peacefully day indeed.

"You are really chipper today," Stella said as she wipes her hair with the white towel

"ha-ha" she moves her hand side by side and her cheeks turn red. Stella grins as her thoughts trail on the day they met Nathaniel. Lalaine was chipper and full of energy that day. She wears her crimson dress, braided her ombre ocean-like hair, and puts some gloss on.

"Nana is already calling out for us, we need to eat and go to the orphanage faster," she said as she tried not to stumble on her feet "U-um you know let me dry your hair for you" she sat Stella down and grab the blow-dryer as she hums to make her heart relax a little.

"Will Natty come?" Stella asked. Lalaine eyes widen and divert her eyes back to Stella dark hair

"I d-dunno" she said and chuckled "B-but there is like 90% chance he will come" the grin on her face widened, as well on Stella. The blood rushes to Lalaine's cheeks as they both squeals.

"How long has it been huh?" Stella asked

"Like a week?!" she said as a warm glow runs through her body "So chop-chop okie" she added. As Stella's hair gets curlier than it had before.

"Sure!" she grabs her purse and they run to the patio to eat with Nana Upeng.

"Good Morning Nana" they said in chorus

"You are chipper today," Nana said to Lalaine

"I do? Oh my gosh" she chuckles "I feel kinda radiant" she touches her cheeks and sway her hips.

"Never mind her Nana, can I leave the bakery with you today? We will help at the Orphanage"

"Sure, no problem," she said, "tho can you buy some things in the grocery for me?"

"Okie, we can handle those"

In the orphanage, donors drop cardboard boxes full of toys, goods, clothes, and some shoes. Lalaine helps out by entertaining the children through reading books and singing. While Stella greeted the donors and arrange the donation together with Lynx. Lynx Harper is a 25 year old Asian, 5'4 tall, with brown hair, and hazel eyes. He studied Philosophy in Rome and flew back to Glaslough to reunite with his friend Aeriol. He always dreams to understand why things happened the way they happened. No matter how hard someone dodges all the bullets. He is good as the next person can be but he can be so annoying, sometimes.

"Hey!" Aeriol snaps his fingers in front of Lynx "Lost track of something?" he asked with a confused grin on his face.

"Aeriol your here!" Stella greeted. A line of a smile formed in Stella's lips, a blush of cherry painted her cheeks. Hence for Lynx it seems the flowers around them starts blooming, the birds sing happy tunes and the wind blow a little sweeter. Then he became completely invisible.

"How are you?" Aeriol asked as he place his hands back to his pocket.

"Good, are you also here to help?" she asked. While Lynx rolled his eyes and continue receiving donations, minding his own business thank you very much.

"No, I am just here dropping off things for Sister Lily" he answered "Do you know where she's at?"

"She's probably at her office"

"Thank you, I'll get going then" he said as he waves his hand and go inside the orphange. As the soft smile on his face stick with him, a sigh of relief left and thanking the day of peace. He walks to the narrow halls, wallpapers seems to be a little grey, the brush of wind pushing him forward and then he stops at the door where the name ‘Office’ seems to be eroding in time.

“Come in” a female voice said. He slowly opens the door and smiled at her “Good Morning” he greeted.

“Glad you came” a lady wearing a nun-clothes stood up immediately “Please have a sit” she said

“Thank you sister” they both sat down. The room is a little dusty, the books on the shelves haven’t read for years, and the old wooden chair need to have a little color.

“As you have heard from Father Rhen, There is an increasing death being reported” Sister Lily said as she laid photo’s of women who reported killed or they kill themselves. As Aeriol gaze on the photo one after the other, he seem to notice that these woman have similarities. Suddenly a knock on the door rung in silence. A man wearing a white cloth wrapped around his head, while his inner armor is white rob and gold breast-plate clasp it together forming a cape-like-look. On his left shoulders, there is shoulder-plate with white dragon engrave on it. His pants has thread of gold and his boots are made in same gold metal on his chest with golden dragon engrave on them. On his right waist a brown tassel seems to be hanging, and his armor belt is a mixture of ray of sun and tinted gold.

“Dear King, greetings!” he greeted as he bowed down. He slowly lift his head and rush of emotions runs through. His eyes starts to tear and his voice cracks, then he swing a hug towards Aeriol.

“Lashvita!” he enchanted and a gasp of wind grab the soldier away. A drop of sweat rolled down to Aeriol's brow as he sigh.

“Oh my King! Have you eaten anything? You really look thinner. You’ve just been here for a month” he cried out, as his voice gets louder and louder. Aeriol runs his fingers and palm on his face while Sister Lily chuckles.

“Can you keep your voice down” Aeriol said in a controlled low voice

“Oh! Yes my King!” he screamed and bow down. Making Sister Lily laugh more.

“Xeron really misses his master” Sister Lily teased.

“I have delivered this box from the Kingdom of Arlethia” he handed over a box wrapped in green leaves, tied with dried string of leaf, and a blue butterfly place on the middle wings open.
