Chapter 3 Who am I

Stella went home but apparently her friends doesn't know how to go back to their respective houses. Aeriol is carrying ingredient for a good hot pot. Lynx is soaking wet and just trying not to get the cold. Nathaniel is carrying bags of fruits and beers. Lastly, Lalaine is simply being pretty.

"Hi Nana!" they all greeted

"Oh dear" Nana said in surprise "You’re all here” she added.

"This girl sprained her leg and left us no choice" Lalaine explained

"What happened to you?" she walks towards Stella and sat her down

"Just a little clumsy" she responded "but I am fine now" she looks at the swollen ankle

"You know I have a very good herbal medicine for something like this” Nana said as she strokes Stella's hair

"Thank you Nana" she smiled "But first let Lynx take a bath, he fell into the lake and now he looks like a baby chicken run down from the rain" they all laugh except for Lynx.

"Ha-ha-ha" he said mockingly "Lala did this" he explained

"Nah-ah" she said pouting

"Now, now.... Take a bath, you know where your spare clothes are."

"Ok Nana, thanks" he runs upstairs towards the guest room.

"Alright, what's next on our list?" she asked

"I bought something for hotpot" Aeriol said

"I bought fruits" Nathaniel said

"I am beautiful" Lalaine said

"Let's make a hotpot and have fruits after" Nana said and looks at Lalaine "And you, beautiful lady, take Stella upstairs and then you can help me prepare the magic potion" she winks.

“No need for Lala to help me, I can do it Nana” Stella stood up and walks slowly towards the stair.

“You sure?” Lala asked, and she enthusiastically nods

It went on as planned, Stella foot is better than the minute ago. She still in awe on how her Nana can whip all these things up. Maybe ancient people have a lot on their sleeves than any generation had. She slowly stood up and gaze outside her window. Thinking how beautiful her life can be; she is surrounded by people who loves her. There is nothing she could ask for. She got everything she wanted. Then her heart starts to ache. Stabbing, pinching, or probably breaking. As the light of the moon sip into her window, things start to blur.

'I can't breathe' she said to herself as she tries to reach any thing that can help her stand up.

"H-help" she screamed but no voice seem to be coming out. Her legs weakens and her body drops on the floor.

She can still feel the cold, the footstep, she can still hear Lala's voice.

"Are you ok?" the voice asked

She squinted her eyes, as she tries and tries to focus on the person reaching out to her.

"Are you ok" the voice asked again

She felt the grass touching her skin and heard the water flowing in the stream. She slowly opens her eyes and saw him. Her head is laying on his lap as the tree of fireflies give them light.

"Are you ok?" he asked again

Her heart starts to beat again. She traces his face with her fingers and brush the hair blocking his beautiful eyes.

"It's still me" he said, as his warm smile greeted her. It is as if, this has been done before.

"Who are you?" she asked. Wondering if it’s the right thing to ask. Will he get offended? Will he push her away? She asked herself over and over again 'Who are you?'

"Are you ok?" he asked

"I am---" she responded. Things start to sink to her, this is so unlady like.

"Oh I am sorry" she said as she immediately sit up straight. He chuckled as she flusters, and her cheeks turns to cherry. She cleared her throat and averted her eyes.

"What happened?" she asked breaking the awkward silence

"You lost consciousness" he answered

"Really? How long have I been unconscious?" she asked as their eyes met

"Well, I can't say, there is really no concept of time in here" he answered as her eyes tries to question him "But if I were to count the seconds it will be thirty-seven-thousand-five-hundred-seventy-eight."

“Were you counting all that time?” Stella asked as the man nods “Why?”

“It’s time for you to remember me” he said. She pulls Stella closer and kiss her lips.

The orbs surrounding the tree starts to surround them. Lifting Stella and the man from the ground. Stella closes her eyes as she drifts away and their kiss broke. Suddenly the two of them are in the place that seem so familiar, yet she never seen it before.

Stella saw herself standing in a stage where all kinds of flower and bushes are clinging to it. There are different creatures that watching her and some cheering for her. She is wearing a white dress as yellow orbs illuminating it.

“Here we bless the new Priestess of the Moon, Luan” a woman said and move closer to her. A crown made of silver was placed on her head.

“Thee I bless Luan the grace and voice to cradle anyone in pain” another woman comes up and touch the crown, this time it turns clear like water.

Five more women bless her, with every blessing her crown turns to different shade and now its black.

Then a man came up, he looks exactly like the man who just kissed her.

“I, the King Sun, bless you with light and luminosity. To guide and protect anyone who trails off to the dark” he touches the crown and it glows, almost blinding everyone.

Then the orbs flew them to another place, this time it was just her and the King Sun. She is still wearing the same clothes and the crown.

“After tonight we won’t see each other again” he said, “Who have thought right?” he added as he tries to shrug the words he just said.

“That the only two creatures in this world who can’t see each other is King Sun and the Priestess Moon” she said “Then fate played her role, and give this gift to us” she added as if the joke tends to hurt her more. They both laugh.

“I will always send the wind to be with you, Luan.”

“I will always ask the sea to sing for you, Aelius.”

Orbs flew them to another time, here she can see Aelius and her as a child playing on the same lake she had in her dreams. Then another two boys and one girl comes out playing with them. They run, laugh, eat, and laugh. In this time, no one knows their fate, no one knows who will be who. They are just kids laughing on what fate have for them.

These memories comes flooding inside Stella, or should she call herself Luan. She cries and cries as the orbs brings them back to the place of dreams. The place that Leis created for both of them to meet. Stella immediately hugs Aelius.

“Where are you?” she asked him

“Luan” he murmurs as he kisses her forehead “I am always here for you”

“I don’t remember how this happened? Why are we here?!” she said pushing him away.

“I was able to hold one of the fragments, that holds the memories we both cherish” he answered “And that is the only thing I can show you” he paused and look at Stella “Even if I were to tell you what happened or why we are here, you’ll forget all about it”

The orbs slowly lay them back to the ground and flew back to the tree.

“You are my Luan, and in this dream no gods, fate, or deity can forbid us for meeting.”
