Chapter 22.1

MARCUS turned around in an alley after noticing Esteban following him. He didn't know Esteban, but he was certain he was Henry and Althaia's servant because he could smell his werewolf nature.

He went through a few more alleys. When he got out and had gone over a long distance, he came to a halt next to a large garbage can and turned around to see how close Esteban was because his scent had become stronger, implying that he was much closer to him now.

He was taken aback when he did not see him. He knew he is still there because he could feel his presence. He looked once again, but couldn't find him. He could only see looming hills and trees.

As he turned to face the opposite direction, Esteban's smiling face appeared suddenly in front of him, almost knocking him off his feet.

Leaning against the garbage can, Esteban crossed his arms and asked, grinning widely, "Am I the one you're looking for?"

"What do you want from me?" Marcus asked, still reeling from the shock.
