CHAPTER 4

JOSH POV.

With tears in my eyes, I was standing there asking Elisa why she had to do this. She was holding the sword and stabbing me repeatedly, but she remained silent. It felt like she had planned this for a long time since the pain was too great and I attempted to fight back, but I was unable. I remembered the dream I had and found out it was coming to pass. When the pain became intolerable, I recognized that she was not using a regular blade. That is the sword that has the power to sever a dragon in two. 

She anticipated me to drop to the ground and die as she stabbed me in the chest. She had no idea that I would lash out in a fury and defend myself. I was hurt, but I wasn't lost. I still had some drive and strength in me. I took hold of her arm and firmly bit it. Elisa let out a painful cry as she felt my teeth pierce her skin. I refused to let go even when she tried to shake me off. I slashed at her face with my other claw, creating deep gouges on her cheek and eye. She experienced blurred vision and felt blood seeping from her wounds. She came to the realization that I would not easily give up my heart. She would miss her opportunity if she did not move quickly.

She kicked me in the stomach and pushed me away. I rolled over and let out a moan. She felt for my heart once more when she noticed a gap. She grinned maliciously, feeling it pulsate in my chest. She was mistaken when she believed she had me. I instinctively reacted when I saw her move. I struck her in the head with my tail. She stumbled after experiencing a sudden, acute pain. She fell to the ground and dropped her sword. All of a sudden she got up from the ground, her eye color changed and she was reciting some incantation, she decided to lock up his wings, his horn, his claws, and tail which were his source of his flight, his wisdom, his strength and his balance, to weaken him before she could take out my heart.

She kept stroking me with the powers within her and locked up part of my body, after doing that she came for my heart again and this I used my last strength to remove it from my body and send it far from her. She made her very angry and crushed me the most. This time the whole place, the mountain was collapsing, then she locked and buried my body in the underground before she left***

LILY POV.

In the human world, a child was delivered but had a heart failure. Her parents abandoned her at the stream knowing fully well she won't survive for long. While in the stream the heart of the dragon had entered her which could at least prolong her life span.

She stayed and learned how to battle and hone her abilities in the glitter sect after eighteen years had gone. Her master Zephyr, one of the gods of the glitter sect, saved her when she was a little child.

She made every effort to follow her partner's lead and increase her abilities, but she was unable to do so and instead stayed in stage one as the others advanced.

“Master, I don't know what is wrong. I have done all I could to advance like others but I couldn't,” she said.

“Be calm my child, I have told you that no matter what happens I still love you the way you are,” her master replied.

“But the others make mockery of me and say I don't belong here,” she said to him.

“Don't listen to what anyone says, always remember to do what is right and help those who are good,” he replied.

As they talked further, she recalled how he had come to her rescue when she was alone on the street and needed his help. She was hungry and by herself. And he chose to start training her when she was very young, saving her from homelessness and coming to her aid like a god. 

Later, she decided to go see her senior, who had supported her since she joined the sect, after she had left him to finish his studies. When she arrived, she saw that he and the others were receiving punishment, so she made the decision to go into hiding to find out more. Later on, she encountered Ava, Lila's sister whom she heard that Lila her sister is the head of their sect but had not seen her before. Ava arrived to confront them about the sect members who were engaged in witchcraft.

"Who amongst you has been practicing witchcraft," she asked.

But when she got no response, she continued using her skills to wipe them. I had to come out and defend them because I could take it no longer.

"Move aside, you are not welcomed here," she said to me.

"Leave them alone you can't be accusing someone of what they know nothing about," she responded.

She became upset quickly and tried to strike me, all of a sudden I felt this powerful energy in me and immediately deflected her, consequently causing everywhere to shake. Everyone was astonished and perplexed. Then someone sent my master over.

“What happened here," Zephyr asked.

"It's Lily, she used a strange power to challenge me when I am trying to correct my sect," Ava replied.

I was glad to explain what had happened to my master when he entered, but I was shocked when he ordered me to join him outside and, in front of everyone, banished me from the sect without giving a reason.

I was shocked that my master had to send me out, and I only had my ID with me, proving that I belonged to the glitter sect. I kept thinking about his assurances that I would never be homeless again and the lessons he imparted to me. My favorite bons appeared before I could continue to consider why my master had done what he had done. Whoa! Yes, I don't make any jokes about it. I just took a few and kept straying. My heart suddenly started to beat fast and then I was hit. Before I knew who it was, I passed out.
