CHAPTER 3

ELISA POV.

Whoa! Whoa… "Elisa, look at that hot guy over there,” Emma said.

Emma is not just my best friend, but also my sister. Her father divorced her mum and wed another woman after because he could no longer support her mother's drinking habits, which led to the divorce of her parents. Elisa's mother, Cindy, who is human and well-known for her beauty, married her father, Mason Douglas, who is also an Alpha but not particularly strong. Emma inherited her appearance exactly from there. I often wonder if she's a witch and how she manages to enchant all these people, but then I realize that it's just her appearance—her lovely face and lips—and her attitude is unremarkable, yes I said that because it's the truth and she knows herself so it's not a new thing at all.

Both I and Emma decided to come to the coffee shop close to my house this morning because I prefer their coffee to the one we make at home, and am not really a coffee person but when I need It I find myself here.

"With the way you use guys Emma, I hope one day they won't come to hunt you" , I said to her.

She lives with her mother, therefore I'm sure her actions will have an impact on her. I'm just glad she doesn't drink as much as her mother does.

Come on Elisa, relax a little; you are getting married in two days, so it's not like you are the one going to have any relationship with them, Emma replied.

"With a smile on my face, I'm going to ask that cute guy for his number," Emma stated. I didn't even respond to her, telling her that although I only wanted her to always be safe, it was her life and she could do with it what she pleased.

I was thinking about my wedding with Josh and how it was going to work out as soon as she left to go talk to him. I'm excited and nervous about it at the same time, but at least we'll meet to discuss it.

Emma asked me immediately, "Hey friend, what exactly are you thinking about?" as she swiftly stopped me from going anywhere with my thoughts.

Emma said, "I've been calling you ever since, but you didn't hear me."

"What exactly are you thinking about ?" Emma asked the same question once more.

"Nothing much Emma, just about my wedding with Josh and how it will turn out to be," I responded to her.

"Ohh that, it shouldn't bother you at all, at least you are lucky to have such a wonderful and sexy dragon as your husband," Emma said with a smirk.

I informed her that I knew her personality and had nothing positive to say to you. If given a chance I know she'll seduce him without hesitation.

We finished our coffee and left the store after that. I made sure to take Emma with me since if I had left her behind, she would have gone on to flirt with another man.

We made the decision to return home since I knew Josh would be looking for me very soon. Emma has been with me since yesterday; I made sure she went home to visit her mother, who has been concerned about her since yesterday, before I went home. Upon arriving home, I headed straight to my dad's small office; yes, we do have a small office at home in addition to the main office building, which we have christened Jackson's International Limited.

Hence, on occasion, my dad chooses to work from home instead of going to his main office.

“Good day dad, how is your day going and hope you have gotten something to eat today," I said to my dad. He looked up to me from his laptop with a smile.

"I have got something to eat baby," he said to me.

"You didn't go to the office today and Frank had to call me. He said he called your phone but you didn't pick up hope no problem," I said to him.

"There is no problem dear, I just felt like not going anywhere today," he responded.

"How are things going with your wedding preparations?" he inquired.

"It's going well dad, just that Josh will come around today for us to talk more about it," I said.

My dad is so pleased about the wedding that he can't wait for us to get married. I made the decision to give him some room so he could concentrate better and work on his system. I observed Josh staring at me with a big smile on his face as I was about to head to my room. I went up to him, and we shared a kiss. I could see he was hoping for more, but I can't take that chance with him because he is a dragon, and once they give their virginity to their mate, there's no turning back; they are different from werewolves, or vampires. And am happy he respected that.

We both talked about how to plan the wedding together.

"Josh, I would like only both of us to be present on that day, no witnesses at all,” I pleaded with him.

To my surprise he didn't question my decision but agreed to it. At some point I didn't know why I told him about it and why he also decided not to question it.

We spoke into the evening, and then he headed home so his grandmother wouldn't worry about him. Later that evening, I told my father about my decision regarding the wedding, and he kept asking me why I had made it, even though I didn't have a clear explanation.

Finally, our wedding day arrived. That morning, I was filled with rage and irritation, but I had to get ready for the wedding.

At the summit of his clan's mountain, we both met. His excitement caught my attention, and I couldn't help but smile too. He suddenly yelled as we were staring into one other's eyes, clung to his stomach, and collapsed to the ground.
