Rima saw Curtis in the cattle stall, which was where he spent his free time these days, he was among the cattle as usual but this time he was playing with a Calf while the mother watched on. Rima took a moment to appreciate the scene before her. It was a far cry from when Curtis was forced to clean their stalls and all, so many changes Curtis has done all within the space of three months.
Which was why she found it hard to believe that Curtis would be the person to leak out any information. After all, he had found his place among them and he did not really annoy her as such as he did any longer and he had grown on her, not like Stanley did neither was it like the way she and Penn became friends but Curtis own was a mixture of both and still not as strong as her friendship with Stanley and Penn but it was still considered that. Friendship.“Hello Rima.” Curtis said without looking up from the Calf he was playing with.

Vallas sighed in anger as he walk faster than Denzel, he despise being anywhere near the man and the resistance knew this, would that stop them from pairing him up with the person in question? Unfortunately no. it was like they wanted him and Denzel to try and destroy each other to see who would come on victorious.“Would you act like a grown up for once and slow down so that I and you will provide a united front?” Denzel snaps at Vallas who glared at him.“That is the last thing I want to do, I do not want to provide anything with you, I am starting to think that favoritism is coming into play in the resistance because you did not have any business being here.” Vallas returns as Denzel caught up with him.“So do you, the only reason why I was sent was to balance you and you know that.” Denzel added.“Your legacy is the major suspect!” Vallas forced out.“And your l
“Penn calm down and let me treat your arm.” Rima said as she hurried after Penn just as he stopped in front of the dining room which they never use then turned to face her with the unhidden fury he felt trained on her and the silent boy who wax tagging behind her and silent from the guild he was feeling.“This would not have happened if both of you were not having issues, I get that you were a couple and you are allowing things which should not affect you to affect you now but you both need to sort yourselves out because the resistance is not a place for brats.” Penn snaps at Rima and gestured at Stanley with her arm that was injured before the Pain hits her again and she groaned as she used her other hand to support it.“Let me help.” Rima rushed forward but Penn shouted.“I do not need your help, I do not want it too, either from you too.” Penn yelled at Stanley. “Just get over what is mak
“Father.” Curtis strangled out as Denzel just raised an eyebrow.“What? No excuses to come up with, how long have you being causing this questionable actions of yours to make them doubt your innocence?” Denzel approached his son who took a step back and eventually stop shifting back when he realized that he was cowering in front of him.Curtis felt like a five year old reject once more, his father wanting nothing to do with him and when he mentioned that he was his son with tears in his eyes, Denzel stepped forward with a frightening look on his face as he warned Curtis to never repeat that ever again then Denzel proceeded to show Curtis who his step siblings were and stating reasons why his siblings were his child and why Curtis himself could not be. Eventually Denzel eased up on his strictness with Curtis but still, he does not allow Curtis to call him father outside. “Since the beginning sir.” Curtis lowered his head t
Penn waited for three heartbeats before the pandemonium she was expecting happened.“You must be crazy this time around.” Stanley thundered.“I wondered what was wrong with him when he detached himself from Rima crime and betrayal, now I can see that he did not detach himself, he simply went crazy.” Curtis exclaimed.“And you support this?” Denzel asked Vallas who shrugged, he presented the very picture of unburdened.“Of course I do, it will take care of the Resistance chief problem which is the king.” Vallas smiled as Denzel tightened his fists.“He is just as crazy as you.” Denzel realized.“Thanks.” Penn and Vallas replied at the same time.“Penn, be serious. It is not possible that we would go into the palace, into the king room and slit his throat as he sleeps.” Stanley stated.Penn brow farrowed.
“I think you need to start from the start.” The queen said with her chest pounding. The king could not die, not yet. She still needed to kill the crown prince and make Lance the crown Prince. This was all Cain fault, if he had killed the prince then she would not have felt anything, she would not have done anything other than to sit still and wait for this to happen but it cannot because she will be left with Nothing. The Crown Prince no longer listened to her anymore, not since he came back to realized how many people she had disposed of since his edict. He had refused to listen to her since then or even to be in the same room with her, claiming that the sight of her makes him sick and he was repulsed that she was his mother… that was what he said while he was in the king’s presence but the queen knew what Chandler was referring to.“The resistance are planning on attacking the king today and Curtis shared this
Curtis realized too late what the queen might have wanted, the woman replaced her husband with her son, and she would not have done that if she wanted to son to be alive. With that thought, Curtis lunged forward, hoping to sink the knife into the Prince's chest but the Prince disarmed him within a flash.“Thank you for the weapon. Needed it.” Chandler smiled at Curtis who backed away from the Prince in shock.“That is one of the most foolish you have ever done.” Penn growled at Curtis making her voice deeper so that the Prince will not realize that it was her and still she saw the way the Prince's body jerked at her voice like he was recognized who was talking. It was a good thing that Penn tied her head and covered half of her face just like the rest of the resistance.“Thank you for believing in my ability, it is nice when your enemies know what you are capable of.” Chandler grinned towards the direction of
“Did the Prince give you a blow to the head that I somehow did not see?” Stanley asked Penn who rolled her eyes.“I am serious, those who run will be the first to be captured and taken in for questioning. Dispose all your weapons here and let’s go trade the horses for a wagon then rent a night at the inn and after that, we go out and mingle with other in the crowd, maybe grab a wench or two per person and have fun. After all, the reason we are here is because Lord Vallas decided to visit our home and we need to release some steam right?”They looked surprised at the easy way which Penn solved the problem until Stanley clapped his arms together. “Alright, let us start, time currently is of the essence.” He started giving instructions to others about what they should do while Penn started undressing. “Penn is everything alright?” Stanley asked looking at Penn weirdly.“Of course, it woul
Cain had never felt any intense hate for anybody as much as he felt for this brat in front of him. Even what he felt for Vallas was like a tiny flame compare to the inferno he was feeling for this being called Penn.“Are you sure you want to go there?” Cain asked Penn not caring for the audience they were having which was the king and his family.“You brought this upon yourself and let me inform you, my father will hear about this.” Penn threatened.“Is it just me or this whole scene turning into something that is just wasting our time?” The queen asked the king who nodded.“Cain you know better than to bring your personal vendetta here.” The king said firmly as Cain looked around unsure of how the table turned so quickly.“But…” Cain tried to convince the king but Chandler's voice was the one to cut him short this time.“But no
