Chapter Twenty Four

“I know! I know.” Elena hurriedly said.

“You guys were talking about a date, and I know I interrupted a lot of things. I was just thinking that since I was the one that stopped the first one, I was going to make it up to you guys by preparing a little thing.”

“Think of it like a small..” she said and gulped down, approaching the small table she had set up and taking her seat on the floor.

“….a mini lunch-date.” She added, curling her lips into a smile as she looked at both of them.

Both Matthew and Sarah's eyes roamed the table. Different lunch snacks filled the table, and also some burgers, a pizza and juice.

“How…..how did you get all of these?”

Sarah was the first to talk, approaching her and taking her seat on the floor.

“Who helped you with this?”

Matthew asked, still surprised with all of it as he took his seat too.

A blanket was laid on the floor, with a pillow on each of them where they all sat down.

“Don’t worry about that. Just let’s eat before they ring the bell.” Elena sai
