10. Caught In The Middle
The house was dark and rather quiet. Fenrir had walked around it a few times and then it started to rain so he went back inside appeased that everything seemed to be in order out there. No one was lurking about, and the scents were normal. So were they in the house. Over the past few days he realized he was starting to get defensive about the house, and checking if there were intruders. Or even people she knew coming on to the property. Clearly he was starting to get territorial, another sign that he was healing. Several days had passed now. So he was getting a bit antsy about what was around them.

“You sure Fenrir? Seriously it’ll be fine. I’m coming back and I don’t think that flying is smart for you.” She also wasn’t sure about bringing him. Might be better to take the chance to leave him, but he didn’t want to stay. She was lucky to have even gotten him a ticket to come with her to this conference in New York City. Tamara was glad when they landed. She didn’t know if he was going to be able to get back on a plane after that. At least he hadn’t done anything crazy, like turn into a wolf. Tamara finally got up to talk and he watched her intently. Also looked around the room as well. It was clear most seemed interested in what she had to say, and she was a good speaker.
