61. Breaking Bindings
“I feel so cold.” Serenity said and Jor felt a relieved breath come out of him. All the muscles in his body relaxed, and he felt her turn into him a bit where he was sitting. They had arrived here at Tamara’s home two days ago after being told where it was. Tamara and Fenrir just arrived an hour ago. It was something to see his brother in the flesh again. However he’d been unable to let go of Serenity to actually greet him.
None of them were sure she was breathing the first few hours after getting here. He had been very close to going on a rampage. He felt this complete desolation inside of him. Unlike anything else before, and he thought she was dead. When he was going to set her down she had taken in a sharp breath. After that he’d just sat where he was holding her as she did feel very cold. Though she didn’t feel like that so much anymore. He was sure she still needed warmth.

“Kill the blonde one, distract Jormungand!” Antonio shouted at a few of the others who went for Serenity. Thor was back, but seemed to be torn between going for Jor or leaving. Clearly this was a shit storm he needed help with, but he seemed torn because it was clearly that Fenrir was not free of his bonding yet. “What is this!” A rather booming voice shouted as Tamara hit the floor. She was able to concentrate a bit more from the intense shock she just received from the blade. The blade had a consciousness to it, and with all the objects she’d ever worked with, this was a first to feel that it was alive. She got the sense that it liked her, it liked what she did. Tamara could not tell you the anxiety she felt in the weeks following what happened. That they were all on edge. Worried that none would keep their word and yet they had. It got easier over time to relax a little to enjoy moments. She took to showing Fenrir all that he wanted to learn, to show him the world. Even if they really didn’t leave the knew home they found. They were still learning, it was hard no one changed overnight. However his fierceness with her stemmed from the fact that he cared. He loved her, and she knew it. “You should see this rock. The carvings on it are amazing. Like nothing I’ve seen before. I’m telling you we’ve hit pay dirt with this one.” The male voice was excited. Tamara Limer took a drink of tea as she looked out the window into the woods. It was raining, but everything was a vibrant green today. She liked the rain and the soft patter of the drops on the deck outside. Behind her the glass kitchen table was covered with papers, journals and odd items. “You think so? “Wait, a woman came to your house?” Max asked and Tamara pinched the bridge of her nose. She could hear that he was packing up to go seeing he was six hours ahead of her. She just caught him getting ready to leave for the cave. “No I fell asleep and this woman came to me in my dream.” She went in the bathroom and looked at her jaw, bruise marks were starting to show. The crate came late the next day. A large truck pulled up to her house and she had her large garage open. Her car parked over to the side. They didn’t say anything, but they shouldn’t. They were the ask no questions kind of people. They got paid to do jobs and then looked the other way. She was surprised when they pulled a ramp down and there was a small fork truck in the back. One man got on it and came down the ramp. The truck was low so it didn’t have a very steep angle anyways. She pointed to the garage and he dropped it off in there. They put the fork truck back on, got back into the vehicle and drove away. Barely two words were said and nothing was signed for. She looked at the crate and toward the truck turning left at the end of her driveway. She didn’t have any close neighbors. She pretty much lived in the middle of the woods in Maine of all places. Tamara came back over to the man eating all her food with a charm. This was a first test to if he was an evil being or not. She proceeded to slap the charm onto his shoulder. He jumped and was holding a leftover bowl of pasta. The fridge was nearly empty with containers and plastic all over from him tossing it. He pulled the bowl back to his side like she was going to take it. Then decided that she wasn’t and looked down at the piece of paper and ripped it off tossing it. He eyed her dangerously. Nothing happened though and that made her feel better. Okay so he was necessarily soulless and evil. Didn’t mean he was good, but it still made her feel better that the paper didn’t burst into flame. She went back over and grabbed a metal bowl and pestle. She poured some oil into it and went over by him and moved the pestle around the bowl making it sing.
