1. Dangerous Career
“You should see this rock. The carvings on it are amazing. Like nothing I’ve seen before. I’m telling you we’ve hit pay dirt with this one.” The male voice was excited. Tamara Limer took a drink of tea as she looked out the window into the woods. It was raining, but everything was a vibrant green today. She liked the rain and the soft patter of the drops on the deck outside. Behind her the glass kitchen table was covered with papers, journals and odd items.  “You think so? You better not be bringing me back something with a curse on it. Just managed to break the last one. You know the destruction that happened in the museum?” She commented flipping her straight blonde hair with a flick of her head. It was annoying

2. Something wicked this way comes
“Wait, a woman came to your house?” Max asked and Tamara pinched the bridge of her nose. She could hear that he was packing up to go seeing he was six hours ahead of her. She just caught him getting ready to leave for the cave. “No I fell asleep and this woman came to me in my dream.” She went in the bathroom and looked at her jaw, bruise marks were starting to show. She frowned and kept talking. “It was definitely real, you didn’t have any kind of dream or odd feelings? I think something was triggered when you shared the photos.” “Odd feeling, I always have an odd feeling going into these places. But what exactly did you find or see? how dangerous? I won’t go if you say so Tam. Just tell me what I’m dealing with, if it’s life

3. The Man In The Sarcophagus
The crate came late the next day. A large truck pulled up to her house and she had her large garage open. Her car parked over to the side. They didn’t say anything, but they shouldn’t. They were the ask no questions kind of people. They got paid to do jobs and then looked the other way. She was surprised when they pulled a ramp down and there was a small fork truck in the back. One man got on it and came down the ramp. The truck was low so it didn’t have a very steep angle anyways.  She pointed to the garage and he dropped it off in there. They put the fork truck back on, got back into the vehicle and drove away. Barely two words were said and nothing was signed for. She looked at the crate and toward the truck turning left at the end of her driveway. She didn’t have any close neighbors. She pretty much lived in the middle of the woods in Maine of all places. It was a good place to work on dangerous

4. Impossible Situation
Tamara came back over to the man eating all her food with a charm. This was a first test to if he was an evil being or not. She proceeded to slap the charm onto his shoulder. He jumped and was holding a leftover bowl of pasta. The fridge was nearly empty with containers and plastic all over from him tossing it. He pulled the bowl back to his side like she was going to take it. Then decided that she wasn’t and looked down at the piece of paper and ripped it off tossing it. He eyed her dangerously. Nothing happened though and that made her feel better. Okay so he was necessarily soulless and evil. Didn’t mean he was good, but it still made her feel better that the paper didn’t burst into flame.  She went back over and grabbed a metal bowl and pestle. She poured some oil into it and went over by him and moved the pestle around the bowl making it sing. He winced like it hurt his ears, but that wasn’t wha

5. Who Is He
“Are you serious? Look if this is some kind of prank... I’m not sending one of my drivers out to the middle of nowhere lady with an order that sounds like a prank. You want twenty large pizza’s with everything on it. As many bags of chips as we can send and ten liters of soda?” Yeah she had to admit she was going overboard, but he just ate everything in her house. She figured this might do the trick, hopefully. She was aiming for calories. “I know how this sounds, but I’m having a party later with a lot of people and my caterer canceled an hour ago. Please, I’ll pay you right now over the phone. I can’t leave to get them due to medical reasons. Please.” She said sounding desperate and this was the owner she was talking to. The employee had thought it a prank too. He asked for her credit card and she gave it to him. The bill was nearly four hundred dollars  but she could afford it, however with the ex

6. Fenrir
This felt really good. He’d been expecting ice cold water to wash with. It was what he’d always been given before. It hadn’t bothered him. With the state that his body was in, ice cold water didn’t sound good. Not to mention this body didn’t have the fur like his real body did. Here he was trapped in this human form, and it felt cramped. To small but he’d have to deal with it as long as the chains were still around him and the sword stuck in his mouth. Which as a human his chains appeared as tattoos.  He couldn’t speak, couldn’t howl just make low sounds of whimpering or growls that were deeper in his throat. He couldn’t even talk mind to mind. All he could remember forever was the blackness, and what felt like sleep but wasn’t. Stuck in a tomb that he’d been forced into by Odin and others. His anger and hate were strong, but so was his depression and desperation.

7. Monsters Looking For Monsters
Max sat in the police room just waiting. He and his crew had been stopped from getting on their flight and asked a thousand and one questions. All the pottery and other items they had collected were taken which he thought was a bunch of bullshit since their permits were on the up and up. They had been hired to find out about the myths and go down into that cave. Hired and paid a lot of money and now they were sitting here being detained. There was one man he’d seen moving around talking to people asking questions that instantly set off his alarm bells. Max weighed about a hundred and ninety pounds, and was built like a runner and he could run damn fast. You had to sometimes, he could fight too. Learned that the hard way while doing this cloak and dagger job. Had met plenty of unsavory people in this world. He trusted Tamara with the things he found. She was more family to him than friend, and while he did

8. Social Norms
The next three days Tamara felt like she was going stir crazy. If Fenrir wasn’t following her and staying in her general space he was pacing around the outside of the house. She was getting tired of him not letting her leave and had stopped teaching him things. Things he should know but didn’t. Clearly didn’t have a lot of knowledge about computers. But it seemed that once she showed him, something in that brain of his clicked and he just knew how to do it. It was amazing and eerie to be honest, the rate at which he learned. She hated when he sat and stared at her. Like he didn’t need to blink and she was starting to wonder if he even slept. She had food arrive from a delivery service and he had slowed down on eating but still ate a good amount. At least she wasn’t having those horrible dreams any more. Just a man in her house who she was sure was watching her sleep.

9. How This Is Going To Work
“Okay.” She said turning the car off. “I need to turn in my phone, and then get food, and you aren’t going to eat anything until I pay for it got me?” He looked at her. He'd eat what he wanted.“I’m not going in until you promise me.” He growled slightly but nodded, fine. Bitch clearly wanted it her way and it angered him. Good thing he didn’t have a voice, she might have slapped him for his thought just now. Seriously she was being controlling and he didn’t like being controlled. Look what the gods had to do to contain him.“These are the rules of our society. I’m not trying to dictate to you.” Tamara stated seeing the darkness to his gaze and she swore that the silver was turning darker and changing color or something. “We’ll go over there first and then I’ll get f

10. Caught In The Middle
The house was dark and rather quiet. Fenrir had walked around it a few times and then it started to rain so he went back inside appeased that everything seemed to be in order out there. No one was lurking about, and the scents were normal. So were they in the house. Over the past few days he realized he was starting to get defensive about the house, and checking if there were intruders. Or even people she knew coming on to the property. Clearly he was starting to get territorial, another sign that he was healing. Several days had passed now. So he was getting a bit antsy about what was around them. Not that he needed to worry about unwanted visitors. She seemed a bit more reclusive and she seemed to be worried about this Max. He didn’t know who Max was, but she was clearly worried about him. Fenrir wasn’t sure he liked it, who was this man? Probably enemy, couldn’t trust people as far as you could throw t
