Chapter 17: Longing

It was already six o'clock in the afternoon when Sandro suddenly appeared at the front door, he was smiling at me which took me by surprise. Although I felt a little nervous with his presence, I was able to respond to his smile. I motioned him to get inside of the room.

"Why did you come here? Uhm, don't get me wrong I just thought that sir Memo might need you right now." I told him and nervously chuckle to break the awkwardness that was clouding us. I'm not used to this, I'm not used to how we treat each other.

"No, I told him that I'm going here and he's okay with it. I want to see you, Baldo." He replied almost whispering when he spoke the last words as if he's embarrassed to tell those words in front of me.
