Chapter 29: Charlotte Watching

"Did you sleep well? No nightmares?" Liam asked as he set the treadmill's settings.

"Yes -well, I woke up around two but fell back asleep in less than an hour," Charlotte said. "So it was okay."

"Why didn't you call me?" Liam asked.

"I know you were working until midnight. I asked Chadwick," Charlotte answered.

When Charlotte saw Liam frown, she insisted, "It's okay. I think the new environment made me sleep better."

He fell silent. Charlotte did not know what was going through his mind, but after a while, he instructed, "Put me on video call while you sleep tonight. I insist.”

His offer made Charlotte smile, and as they started with their cardio, she was beaming all throughout.

"Charlotte, your body should be your greatest investment. Do at least ten minutes of cardio three times a week," he said while starting with a walk.
