Mrs. Gibson Sr.’s expression shifted subtly. She had not expected Xena to already be pregnant.

Miranda, however, was not surprised. She had witnessed Xena’s morning sickness once before. She calmly continued feeding Mia her soup.

“Felix, go check on her,” Susan urged him.
