Chapter 4 Susan

Susan had seen Lewis on TV, he was the kind of person at the pinnacle of the pyramid, someone she could never come into contact with in her lifetime, but now, Lewis himself was sitting in front of her.

The man in person was even more handsome than on TV. His well-tailored suit accentuated his lean figure, and he carried an inherent noble and cool charm, handsome, calm, with a strong aura.

Susan was so nervous that her palms were sweating, her heart was racing, and her cheeks were blushing.

Which woman wouldn't blush and get excited at the sight of such a handsome and rich man?

Lewis began to speak, his tone indifferent, "About last night, I promised you I would take responsibility. You can choose to accept this check for five million dollars, or choose to move to the Royal Manor to be my woman."

Last night?

Susan was confused.

The latter sentence 'be my woman' completely shocked Susan.

This was more thrilling than winning the lottery. The man sitting in front of her was Lewis, the man in charge of the billion-dollar Kaire Group.

To be Lewis's woman, wouldn't that mean endless wealth and glory?

Susan was shocked into silence.

Seeing that Susan's face turned pale and looked frightened, Lewis softened his tone, "I found your resume on the floor of the hotel room, that's how I found you here. Don't be afraid, I'll give you time to think."

Susan also had long, black hair, she and Judy used the same shower gel and shampoo, and there was a faint mint scent on her, which confirmed to Lewis that the woman last night was Susan.

Lewis had someone investigate Susan. She was an orphanage graduate, a high school graduate, currently unemployed and looking for a job everywhere.

Her background was clean.

The spot of blood on the hotel bed sheet proved that it was Susan's first time. As a man, Lewis found it only natural that he should take responsibility.

Of course, it was even more important that this was the first time a woman had made him lose control.

Seeing that Susan was still silent, Lewis shifted the topic, "Why did you go to the Holiday Hotel last night?"

"Holiday Hotel? I..." Susan regained her senses and stammered.

She only gave her resume to Judy, and it seemed that Judy's departmental gathering last night was just downstairs at the restaurant of the Holiday Hotel.

Susan recalled that Judy came back in the morning and had lost her resume. She realized what had happened. The woman last night was Judy, Lewis had mistaken the person.

"I went there for a job interview, I... I didn't know it was you last night, I was very scared, so I... I just went home."

Susan nervously claimed, facing the billion-dollar rich and handsome Lewis, how could she resist?

As long as she followed Lewis, she would be catapulted to the top instantly. Maybe she could even become the female owner in the future, if not, there would be compensation, and she would definitely have more money than she could use.

She wouldn't have to live in poverty anymore, crammed into this 60-square-metre rented house.

For this reason, Lewis didn't have much doubt, "I'll give you three days to think about it."

"...Okay." Susan didn't immediately agree, like Lewis, this rich man, she couldn't appear too indiscreet.

More importantly, Judy was coming back, Susan was worried that if Lewis ran into Judy, the game would be up.

"When you've made up your mind, call my assistant."

Lewis didn't stay long, dropping an assistant's business card and leaving.

Just as his car started, the taxi Judy was in arrived, just passing by.

The taxi stopped, and Judy got out and returned to the rental house, "Susan, did you see the message I sent? We're going out for dinner tonight..."

Seeing Susan sitting on the sofa in a daze, Judy walked over in confusion, "Susan, what's wrong? Didn't get the job? It's okay, I've just been converted and promoted, I'll support you, let's go out for dinner tonight."

"Let's eat at home." Susan steadied her heart and said a bit guiltily, "I bought some vegetables. I'll go cook."

With that, Susan went to the kitchen to make a start.

"Well, let's save some money, eat at home, and when John comes back from his business trip, we'll all go out for a big meal together." Judy also went into the kitchen to help, caring, "Susan, what's wrong with you, you seem stunned."

Hearing that she was promoted and regularized, Susan didn't respond at all, which was too strange. If it had been before, she would definitely have been nagging her to treat.

"No, nothing." Susan's eyes dodged, and she stammered, "Judy, I might be moving out."

"Have you suddenly moved away?" Judy felt very surprised, "You haven't found a job yet, don't you have no money? Where are you going to live? We've never been separated."

"I'm moving in with my boyfriend. He said he'd support me." Susan looked steadily at Judy and said, "You won't keep me from pursuing happiness, will you?"
