"The both of you are so sweet but in a silly way." I said with laughter in my voice.

Jason climbed up the stairs, meeting me halfway. He smirked at me as soon as he got to me and without any warning, lifted me up from underneath my leg and carried me bridal style.

I yelped as he did but he only laughed at me.

"Jason put me down!" I giggled.

"No, can't do my love. This is the right way to carry a princess after all, besides we have to hurry up." He said and took the stairs two by two.

"Thanks so much Charles for looking after him." I said once we were outside.

Since it was such short notice we couldn't find a babysitter but Charles had volunteered to look after Vince.

"Anytime besides you said you made apple pie and muffins."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"It's not as good as mom's."

"Of course it's not but I'll take it anyway."
