Chapter Forty One 

Getting home, Dad was still at work. I told mum I was going out with my friends and I’d be staying over the night. She wasn’t happy that I was going out on a school night, but she said I could. I think she was just glad that I was back to ‘’normal’’ again. 

I showered and changed in record time. I even put some make-up on, making a little bit of an effort. I guess I figured if I looked good-ish, I’d feel good-ish. If it worked, it worked. I rushed around my room, Grabbing a few essentials that I’d need, a change in clothes, wash bag, hairbrush, etc, and stuffed them into my backpack before flinging it over my shoulder and heading downstairs again.
