Rachel West crawls towards the door bit by bit, holding her high bulging belly.

She was imprisoned for three days thanks to the man’s she loved

There were some dirty rice grains spilled on the door, she stretched out her hand that was red with pain, picked up the dirty and cold rice grains and put them into her mouth little by little.

Suddenly, the door opened: "Rachel Smith, someone is visiting you".

Before she could be ready, she was roughly dragged out, washed, and pushed into the visiting room.

Across the iron fence, she finally saw the man, the man she had loved for ten years.

She held back the hatred in her heart and asked him, "How is grandma?"

"Do you still have the face to ask?"

James Smith grabbed her neck and looked as if he was going to kill her: "Thanks to you, Grandma will never wake up."

"You planned to climb into my bed and kidnap Melody, I can bear it, but you should never have touched grandma!"

Rachel West can't stop shaking her head. She had loved him since she was a child, but since she knew that the person, he likes is Melody, she has carefully hidden that affection.

Until her twentieth birthday when she woke up with a hangover in his bed naked

A month later, she was found to be pregnant, and her grandmother forced James Smith to marry her. After marriage, he hated her so much that he never came home for the night.

She thought he was going to hate her forever, though she didn’t want him to. Melody Freeman disappeared suddenly. Then, grandma called and said that she had something very important to ask her, but when she opened the door, grandma was lying on the ground covered in blood.

Rachel begged, "James, grandma really wasn't hurt by me, for the child's sake, you believe me once, please, I beg you!"

"Child?" James Smith cool gaze fell on her high, bulging abdomen, "Knock it off!" Your dirty child!”

boom!

The cruel words of the man were like a knife, piercing into her heart.

"If you still have a little conscience, tell me what really happened to Melody."

Rachel West was completely desperate, and her voice shrill roared: "Grandma was not injured by me, I didn't kidnap Melody, why don't you believe me, this child is also the flesh and blood of the Smiths family, why are you so cruel, why?!"

The man narrowed his eyes dangerously: "It's really dead and unchanging". In that case, then you can atone for your sins in prison!"

Watching the man's unfeeling back figure leave, Rachel West slammed against the iron bars in a state of collapse.

"Sister!"

Suddenly, a woman walked in with a few padded jackets.

That was her half-sister, Alexa West.

"Sister, I secretly sent you a few cotton jackets, James is too ruthless, he doesn't let me send you anything." Alexa West said, her eyes flashing, "Sister, just tell him the whereabouts of that woman, he told me that if you insist on not telling him about Melody’s whereabouts, he will let you suffer in this prison!" ”

Her heart hurts to the point of almost suffocating.

She tugged at the bulging shirt of her abdomen, and there was a hint of stubbornness in her hoarse voice: "Melody’s disappearance has nothing to do with me, if he wants my life, then he should take it."

Rachel West was eventually convicted.

The day when she was officially transferred to the women's prison was New Year's Eve.

She was severely beaten by the inmates in the prison until her nose was bruised and she couldn't get up.

In the evening, everyone went to the New Year's Eve party held in the prison.

Rachel West lay wounded on the cold bed, covering her stomach, dying.

She kept crying when she thought of James’s disapproval towards her.

At this moment, a strong and choking smell of smoke suddenly came in.

Her heart sank hard.

 fire!

Thick smoke came in through the window, wrapped in flames.

Rachel got out of bed, gritted her teeth, and crawled to the door with her heavy stomach.

After finally crawling to the door, she pushed hard to open the door, but the door could not be opened.

How could this be?

Rachel’s face instantly turned pale, and she slammed the door panel urgently: "Help, help, help"

At this moment, there was a sudden chatter outside the door.

"Don't be nosy, Mr. James has made it clear that she will be left to fend for herself here."

"Ah! You mean, this fire"

"Shh, let's just know it."

The discussion faded away with the sound of footsteps.

Rachel lay on the door in pain, her heart throbbing, her whole body shaking violently.

It turns out that James really planned to let her die in it.

But the child is innocent! Did he really hate her to the point where he couldn't even hold their child?

The smoke was getting thicker and thicker, making her unable to open her eyes.

But thinking of the child in her womb, she still slapped the door with all her strength.

No one came to save her until her voice became hoarse.

She gripped the ground in pain, reciting James Smith name over and over in her heart.

James once saved her life, and now she owes it back to him.

If there is an afterlife, she prays not to meet him again.

It was snowing heavily again.

James Smith helped Grandma tuck the quilt and got up to draw the curtains.

As soon as he walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, the phone rang, and he subconsciously picked up the phone to answer, but in the next moment, he froze in place.

"She's dead?"

On New Year's Eve in 2015, a fire broke out in the women's prison in the western suburbs of City C, and a prisoner code named 0037 died.

On the same day, James Smith, the president of MK Media, had a twin baby, and rumors about the child's mother were all over the place.
