Chapter-3 Secret

*Arianna's POV*

"Are you going to stop me?" He asked, like an overprotective mate.

"Since she is your mate, I will let her go… You can have her" Jasper said backing away. 

Prince Kivvi took his mate in his arms, and went out, without sparing a glance at them. I couldn't help but grin at the situation. He had been behaving domineering for so long. However, he couldn't even say anything to his brother. I was happy that he learned his lesson.

"Since the eldest prince of the Moon Shadow pack has just found his mate, he needs to settle down. Everyone let's enjoy the ceremony." I declared, giving a faint smile. I can't let the commotion ruin the ceremony.

I pulled a glass of wine and cheered them. Thankfully, all the focus was on me, and they didn't think much about the commotion. Everyone congratulated prince Kivvi for finding his mate.

The ceremony was held peacefully. Without getting any rest, I had to visit my father because he ordered for my presence.

"Father, is anything the matter? You called me out so late?" I asked him concerned. I thought it was because of the rogues, who were making trouble on the border. We have sent a team to subdue them, but still no news about it.

I continued, "Is it because of the rogues?"

He glanced at me, and said calmly, "Don't be so impatient. It won't help you, and it could even get you in trouble."

I bowed my head down and awaited his response.

"You need to visit the Moon Shadow pack." I glanced at him curiously but subdued my questions. He continued, "You will be going as a special guest, to get a wolf bane from them."

Wolf bane? Our pack also produces this. Though it's not much, still it was enough for the pack.

"Though we produce it, they have a better quality of wolf bane. You need to visit the pack to buy a wolf bane, in disguise."

I widened my eyes at him, "You want me to…?"

"At the moment, we are in the middle of a war. Though all the pack is seemingly living peacefully, all are hiding their greed to rule over all the packs. We need to be prepared. The Alpha of the Moon Shadow pack is strong but with his mate betraying him, he is a bit delusional now. And every other pack is aiming him too. I need to know their pack's situation and their plans to understand where should I put my net on." He looked calmly at me.

Getting information from an enemy pack wasn't easy. Especially, if it's from a strong pack like Moon Shadow Pack. I wonder why he sent me rather than his most experienced warriors.

"You are a she-wolf. Though you are powerful, they wouldn't mind if you visited. They would be guarded if I send warriors instead of you. You are the best option to bet on. And not only that, you have something helping you."

I asked him, "Helping me?"

He grinned and continued, "Your looks. Use them. You will know what to do."

With that, he sent me out. I was wondering what he meant when I remembered Jasper's glances at me. It was full of lust. I disgusted it and wished to kill him. But had to be calm because of the ceremony. It wasn't the first time I got that look. It was common to me. Prince Kivvi's image flashed into my mind. However, he never looked at me in that way. I sighed and left toward my room.

In the morning, I started packing my bags early and did the paperwork. I also had to decline all the invitations sent to me by the she-wolves. Before leaving, I greeted my father farewell and left. 

I reached the Moon Shadow pack's territory soon. They had prepared for my arrival and decorated the place quite nicely. I was satisfied with their hospitality. They offered me to have a rest in the guest room, but I rejected it. I need to keep in mind the reason for my visit.

"Please show me the way to meet Alpha Caleb. I would be glad to know the progress of the wolf bane since we need it quite urgently."

The guards didn't bother me much and took me to the meeting room.

I gave a respectful bow at Alpha Caleb's presence, and he greeted me politely.

"Princess Arianna, I know the reason for your visit. Please stay for a few days until it's completed. The guards will show you around the pack these days. Also, you have had quite a long journey. You should have a rest." He told me off before I could even start. I could only nod in agreement with him. However, I was displeased with the guards. I wouldn't know how to investigate if the guards were sent to me. Though he seemed hospitable, he was still noticing my actions. If I don't agree with him, he may suspect me. So, I agreed with him. Though I had no plans about what to do later.

However, the opportunity came knocking on the door. Watching Jasper enter, I ask the Alpha, "I have a bold request. I don't have a friend here, is it okay if prince Jasper accompanies me rather than the guards?"

Jasper, who didn't expect this situation, grinned, and said, "I would be more than glad to show you our pack."

Though the Alpha was concerned about his son's behavior, he agreed with me.

Later in the evening, Jasper bought his three wolves with him. The three were unmated and as bad-tempered as him. I could feel their burning desires for me.

"Princess Arianna, they are my friends, Ryan, Smith, and Mike." He said grinning. I bowed to them to maintain the etiquette and introduced myself to them.

"I have long been infatuated by you, Princess Arianna," Ryan said gleamingly. I didn't leave the chance to flirt with him.

"I have long heard about you too, Mr. Ryan. But you are more handsome in person." I could feel their eyes glancing at us when Jasper took us inside.

To test who would be the best prey to use, I accepted their advances and flirted with them. It was foolish to watch them fall into my trap.
