Davina’s POV

After Irena calmed down a bit, her eyelids grew so heavy, I barely had time to move her to the king sized bed before she surrendered to deep sleep.

She was exhausted from the lack of sleep the night before and all the crying and anguish she went through in the past fourteen hours.

I covered her with the blanket and closed the door behind me silently.

I mind linked Ian, told him that everything was fine and that I’m going to grab some of my books and come back to sit by her side.

He sounded so relieved and happy to hear that, like he was carrying the weight of the world around his shoulders and he just got free from under that unbearable weight.

We agreed for him to come wake her up just before lunch so they could talk about where they should go from here.

I sat on the long comfy sofa that was placed in front of the glass wall and dived into my spell book with concentration.

Time passed and I barely noticed it when Ian knocked on the door softly.
