Chapter Forty

POV Azalea

Days went by since my return and after my fall-out with Axel over where I was and what I was doing I started to slowly settle back into the world around me. I didn't, however, take on any duties as the Luna. That was a title I wanted nothing to do with currently, that title reminded me of Thorne and his infidelity.

I had heard he went to look for me while Axel stayed behind but I wasn't about to get caught up in emotions again. He probably just went to look for me because he felt guilty for causing my decision to leave in the first place, whatever the reason I could not allow it to influence me in any way, I promised myself I would not, could not fall into that trap again. Sure it would be hard but I had to try.
