Glenda looked at Thorne again before leaning in closer to me. "I know you're hurting, Azalea. And I know that Thorne can be...difficult

at times. But I also know that he loves you and he's willing to do anything to make things right." She paused, searching my eyes.

"Give him a chance to prove it to you."

I felt my heart lurch at her words. I wanted to believe her, wanted to believe that Thorne really did love me and that he would change.

But at the same time, I was so hurt and angry. I didn't know what to do.

"I-I don't know," I stammered. "I just need some time."

Glenda nodded understandingly. "Of course you do. But don't shut him out completely. He's your mate, Azalea. You belong together..."

I furrowed my brows, "How do you know that?" I asked.
