Prologue

Maria Rodriguez born in Mexico, she moved to New York when she was 8 years with her mother and father who were both born in Mexico city. 

She met her now best friend Jason Mendez when her mother was working with Jason's family has a maid. She used to help her mother with the house chores.

Jason is a rich boy, his mother Jessica and father James Mendez are Businessman and woman. Jason's father owns a Company called "Mendez Corporation" his mother Jessica owns a clothing line called "SiSi's clothing."

Jason always liked Maria from the very first time they meet, but he was embarrassed because she was the maids daughter. Maria a well-mannered girl, she is an A students at school, she had a bit of a hard time learning English but she mastered it.

Her parents still Haven't got the English right, but Maria is always there to translate when Jason's mom speaks to Maria's mom. Angela Maria's mom a maid and a chef at the Mendez family house. Xavier Maria's dad a mechanic. 

Maria and Jason were in the same class. They'll both graduate soon, Maria a valedictorian and Jason just scraped pass the year. But these two have always had hidden feelings for each other, but they were just too afraid to admit it.

12 years later   Maria's ( P. O. V )   I'm getting ready for my graduation. I'm so excited. I can't believe that I'm a Valedictorian. Wow! Well my parents are also proud of me but I hope I can always make them proud, I have always dreamed of been a Lawyer. Being in court and everything.    My cell phone rang. "who could it be at this time." I thought to myself.    I picked up my phone. "Hello." I answered. "Who is this calling at this hour." I was putting on makeup.   "Hey bestie, what's wrong did you  woke up on the wrong side of the bed or what?"   My heart skipped a beat it always does when he speaks. "Jason don't be silly" he is such a jokester.   "You know I hate it when you are sad princess" he responded. I smiled he is so sweet, thank God he can't see my face right now.
