“Maybe I was naive. Perhaps I didn't know the world like I thought I did. Maybe I wasn't lucky enough. Love? It destroyed me in the worst way possible.”

~Zara POV~

It was late in the afternoon when I received a message from an unknown number. I stared at it, wondering if the words were true or if the person was playing a prank on me. This was the seventh message I had received in the past months…or perhaps a year. This time, it included an address and pictures. The address I knew too well. It was the same house my husband had gifted me before we got married. On my other hand, I held the results. These were the results I thought would change everything…the proof of a new life that would bridge the gap between my husband and me.

“Madam, please, you're not allowed here! Who are you?” a woman shouted as she tried to stop me from entering the house. I pushed through her using all my strength. She appeared to be the house help.

“I'll call security! This is private property!” the lady kept yelling as I hurried down the hallway, determined to reach my destination. With each step, my heart sank. I prayed for it not to be true. It shouldn't be true. I knew him. I lived with him. He told me he loved me. “Stop it!” the woman shouted, but I pushed the bedroom door open. The world went dark. I couldn’t believe it.

“Yes, ahh, fuck me, daddy… ahh, fuck me, Wilson,” the woman beneath my naked husband was moaning as he rocked into her. I thought I was seeing things. I hoped it was a dream, but it wasn't.

“Say my name, baby… ahh… you're so fucking sweet… sweeter than her, princess,” I heard Wilson say. He was moaning the very words he once used on me. They laughed.

“Oh yeah? Can she do this?” the woman asked breathlessly. She flipped Wilson onto his back and began to straddle him. I stood there, pale, my brain struggling to register the scene.

“She can't… she's so fucking lazy,” Wilson moaned, holding the woman by her small waist. She was blonde and slim, like a model. “You're so beautiful and young, my love… mmm, you feel so good… ride my c**k!” They laughed as they continued. I finally regained my wits.

“Wilson!” My voice was barely a whisper. Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably. He turned. Both of them turned. They looked shocked to see me, but the shock didn't last long. Wilson pushed himself up on his elbows.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Zara?” he yelled with pure disdain. The woman wiped sweat from his forehead and leaned down to kiss him. He didn't push her away.

“How could you, Wilson? How could you?” I was rooted to the spot. I wanted to run, but my legs wouldn't move.

“Get the fuck out and close the damn door!” Wilson yelled. He had no remorse in his eyes; he didn't even flinch. “Or do you want to watch me fuck huh? Is that it, Zara? You want to watch my beautiful woman do it the way you can't?” A smirk crept onto his face as he thrust upward. He grabbed the woman by her hair, positioned her on all fours, and began thrusting from behind.

“Mmm, that’s it, Daddy… Ahh… Take me…” The lady's moans erupted throughout the room. “Ahh, so fucking sweet, mmm,” Wilson moaned. His eyes stayed locked on mine, his actions shattering my heart. This wasn't the man I had been married to for five years. This wasn't the man who told me he loved me.

“You were right, baby,” the woman said between moans. “She's so ugly… mmm, so plain. A CEO like you deserves a beautiful woman!” They continued as if I were invisible. I turned away, my body stiff and my legs weak. I dragged myself out of the room. The house help caught up to me and grabbed my arm.

“Sluts like you go around causing trouble,” she said bitterly. “Do you want me to lose my job?” She dragged me down the stairs with force. I couldn’t even defend myself. I glanced around the house and saw three children playing…two boys and a girl. One looked to be the same age as my daughter, Ivy. The other two were younger, like twins.

“Get the hell out or I'll call the police!” she tossed me aside once we were outside. I was pushed out, landing on the cold pavement with a thud. I felt a sharp twist in my abdomen. A hiss escaped my throat. Not my baby, I thought. I struggled to get up, but then I saw the blood. I was only two months pregnant. I couldn't lose this child. My vision blurred. Tears made it impossible to see clearly. I slowly made my way to the taxi I had left waiting outside, leaving the mansion behind. My husband was in there with another woman in his arms. What hurt the most was realizing he had three children with her. And the fact that she was living in the same house he made promises to me.

“Why?” My voice was nothing but an empty echo. I entered the taxi without saying a word. The car started moving. I tried to breathe, thinking I just needed to get home. But what home? The Adams mansion? It was more like hell than a home. Did they know about Wilson? Did they cover it up? All sorts of thoughts ran through me… I just wanted to disappear.

“I'll never leave you, my love…”

“You're the one for me, Zara…no one can separate us,” Wilson’s voice rang in my head; his touch felt real. His dark brown eyes staring into mine. That night he proposed, and his family was happy. I felt like a queen, with her king, but now... He lied; he betrayed me. He shattered my heart into a million pieces without remorse.

And when I arrived at the Adams mansion, my world turned dark all over again at what I found.

Chance did not expect to spend the night babysitting a grown, drunk woman. It wasn't easy to drive Zara back home, but he did. She was too drunk to even walk on her own. She kept screaming how much she hated him. To be honest, part of him felt hurt at her vicious words.“Hey… no… don't touch that,” Chance muttered when her hand moved down to his lower parts. Of course, she was touching something she wasn't going to claim. “Here…” He managed to open the front door to her house, and a young woman came rushing to them.“Ms. Zara, I…” the girl said, but stopped when she saw the state she was in. “I… Ivy fell asleep. I…”“Did she pay in advance?” Chance asked, but the girl shook her head innocently.“Okay,” Chance searched through his pockets, took out some bills, and handed them to the girl. “Here,” he shoved them into her hands, and she was utterly speechless.“Surely this is too much… I…” the girl said, seeing the huge amount he gave her. Chance simply ignored her and proceeded to tak

  • My Billionaire Ex-husband’s Rival   Drunk and Vulnerable Pt 1

~Zara POV~Kaden and Andy had invited me to dinner at a restaurant downtown. Thanks to Kaden, I actually found a babysitter for Ivy, although it wasn't easy to convince me to leave my daughter with a stranger. I took a taxi to the place, and, to be honest, I was quite late.“I'm so sorry I'm late,” I said, breathless, as I hurried towards the booth where Andy and Kaden were already settled.“No prob… we know you've been working hard,” Kaden commented with a supportive nod. I slid into the booth, and Andy immediately pushed a glass of water toward me.“You’ve been working hard, Zara… and I heard the work will be done soon,” Andy said, flashing his most charming smile. I couldn't help but chuckle as I took a grateful gulp of water.“Little by little and… well…” I started, but my voice trailed off as I looked around.“Oh, you must be wondering why we decided to eat at a restaurant when I run one,” Kaden laughed, shaking her head. She had read my mind perfectly.“This is the best place to

  • My Billionaire Ex-husband’s Rival   He Makes Her Weak

~Zara POV~“Thank you for helping, although I don’t mean to bother you,” I said, looking up at Henry. He had taken it upon himself to personally oversee the remodeling of my new studio. He already had a full crew of workers from his construction company handling the heavy lifting, but he was here, sleeves rolled up, getting his hands dirty right alongside them.“Kkk, I guess my check will be a fat one, huh?” Henry teased, a playful glint in his eyes.I couldn’t help but laugh. His mix of effortless professionalism and silliness was refreshing. “Don’t get too greedy now, Henry. I’m on a budget.”“For you? I might just settle for a cup of coffee,” he said, his voice dropping a little. He leaned against a ladder, watching me as I began sketching out the layout for the accent wall. “You have a real eye for this, Zara… Most people just see four walls. You see a story.”I felt a heat crawl up my neck. “Thank you. I’m a little rusty, honestly. It’s been… a long time.”Years, actually. Ever s

  • My Billionaire Ex-husband’s Rival   He's not her man

~Zara POV~After a long day, I settled for a hot shower. It turned out Henry owned a rising construction company called HJ Construction. He’d helped me renovate the rented space and start my firm. Thinking about it, I couldn't help but smile at how everything was turning out. The thought of starting afresh after two years of trying had me feeling relieved.I finished bathing and wore a towel. Without even drying my hair, I left my room and went to Ivy’s room to check if she was still awake. When I got there, I found her sleeping on the floor with a marker and some crayons in her hand. What caught my eye was the drawing she made. I picked it up, and my hands trembled. I glanced at my daughter sleeping peacefully, then at the drawing; it was a family of three. Me, her, and Wilson. Seeing this broke my heart; Ivy still believed the story I told her…that her father was busy and would come for her soon.“I’m sorry, sweetie…” I kissed her on the forehead as I dragged the blanket to cover he

  • My Billionaire Ex-husband’s Rival   A jealous neighbour

~Zara POV~It turned out the man was just moving into the space on the fifth floor. I noticed a few boxes, and the place looked freshly painted and fixed. He handed me a small plastic bag and told me it contained a t-shirt and sweatpants he’d bought for one of his workers. He apologized again for ruining my dress with coffee. To be honest, he was a true gentleman…calm, polite, and very sensible. I hid behind the large screen in the vast room while he stepped out.I quickly slipped out of my coffee-drenched dress and put on the sweatpants and shirt. The pants were quite big, and the shirt was long enough to be a dress.“Umm, I’m done… although the shirt is quite big,” I said as I stepped out to meet him. He had his back to me, and when he turned around, his eyes widened as if startled for a moment. I stopped and scanned myself. I looked a little odd in these clothes.“Umm, did I drop my hair clip?” I began looking for it on the floor, my hair now loose and falling over my shoulders. “M

  • My Billionaire Ex-husband’s Rival   A Coffee Disaster

~Zara POV~The bed felt so hard that no amount of tossing and turning fixed it. At last, I sat up abruptly, feeling frustrated with myself.“Ahh,” I couldn't believe it. I failed to believe I could be so weak and break down. Pushing my hair off my face, I glanced towards the closed window, still imagining the scenes of the previous night. Driving back home with Chance, the palpable silence, the heavy breathing. The brushing of hands, the unspoken words. And the way he lifted me until he brought me to my doorstep. I hated all of it to the core.“Get it together, Zara,” I scolded myself and got out of bed. I checked my phone, and it was almost 8:00. “He's no one… you shouldn't get distracted,” I said as I walked to the window, preparing to part the curtains. My hands trembled. Why did I feel like this all because of a man I just met? It hasn't even been a week.“Focus, Zara." Taking a deep breath, I grabbed the curtains and pulled them apart. As soon as I opened the window, my heart ski
