Chapter 36

I expected to see Nick's angry blue eyes appear from behind the door, but when a panicked pair of dark blue eyes met my gaze, I froze in place. "Gregs?" I wiped my tears with the back of my hand then blinked at him walking towards me.

He pulled me behind him so I was behind him, protected from Alastair. "Are you okay?" He just turned his head slightly, then his gaze returned to the man sitting across from me. I didn't know which was more dominant at the moment, my relief or my surprise.

And it looks like I'm not the only one surprised.

Alastair looked surprised enough that his mouth parted slightly as he stared at Greg. "Wait a minute ... " he muttered to himself, "I invited the wrong brother?"

'I received your message." Greg answered briefly, "Nick doesn't know, until now he is still looking for you. You better get out of this place as soon as possible, otherwise I will kill you myself." Greg's voice was calm, but every sentence contained enough threat.
