“Please, we have an appointment with the doctor, is she on the seat?” Liza wanted to know.
“Oh yes, she has been expecting you. We were told you could not make your last appointment.” One of the nurses replied with a curious note at the end of her words.
Turning her face to the side to hide the glint in her eyes, Liza remembered why they missed their appointment and blushed furiously.
It was Mike’s turn to chuckle in amusement as he ignored the pointed look the nurses were exchanging among themselves.
“If you will excuse us, ladies, we would like to go in now, so we don’t keep the good doctor waiting.” Mike told them with a smile as he took Liza’s hand in a protective hold to go to the doctor.
