Cade's POV

.

.

.

I growled loudly at him for no reason and slab the table with my fist when I heard Barrett nonsense. He quickly raised his hand in surrender.

.

"Sorry...Sorry don't be mad.", He apologized. Great that he knew that it was not a good idea to make me angry. "By the way, you look troubled. Do you need some help?"

.

"Well, there was something that I needed to know from our father. That information could be my greatest help.", I muttered thinking about the mark.

.

"And what is that?", He asked, offering his help to me.

.

.

.

After a few hours, "The information which you needed was that our father had left your mark on your bride's heart." Barrett said to which I wanted to resort saying it was not over there but I kept my mouth shut because my words would have indirectly insulted that human. No one else had the right to see what I had seen.

I quickly shook my head to keep my horny thoughts away from my mind.

.

"I have an idea.", Barrett gained my attention back to him. "There is no way in hell any girl would let her touch any of her private parts but it is kind of necessary in your case. So, you can pretend to be in love with her. And when you both will get close enough to share those lovey-dovey moments then you can use that moment in your favor to reject her."

.

"I am not going to play with her feelings. That's not my thing."

.

"But that is important. You have to play with her feelings and make sure that she should accept your rejection out of hatred. And afterward, you both can live your lives in your own way with your respective partners.", He added, making me frown. Before he could have observed my frown, I hide my emotions perfectly. I couldn't understand what I wanted exactly. I didn't want her to hate me. I didn't want to play with her feelings. I didn't want her to move in her life with someone else. But I did want to reject her and move on in my life with some strong and powerful bride.

.

'Wasn't I being bipolar? Wasn't I being mean? I wanted to have someone else in my life but I didn't want her to do the same. What was wrong with me?'

.

.

.

Andrella's POV

.

.

.

The white summer dress flowed nicely down my knees and the white falts complete the look. We didn't wear back to funerals. We didn't even call them funerals, we call it a release. My father was there to comfort my mother while we all five were there to comfort each other.

The sun began to descend behind the mountains and the moon started rising in the sky. The walk to the clear was, unfortunately, beautiful. The clearing was filled with the pack, mostly in the wolf form.

.

It was customary for the Alpha and mourning families to be in human form to oversee the release. My mother was sobbing continuously and it was really heartbreaking to see her like this. I focus on Benjamin and Mattew along with some warriors as they put more wood on the growing fire. The fire grows in the darkness of the night, creating dancing shadows among the trees.

.

I could remember a time when the shadows use to scare me a lot after listening to Grandpa's horror stories. I would cling to my grandpa's leg because he would always protect me from scary things in absence of my father. Until one day, he told me that the shadows were the spirits of the wolves who had already passed, coming to greet the newly released souls and lead them to the Moon Goddess, and after that, they had to stay rest of their life in the spirit world.

.

"Evening Everyone, I wish we were meeting tonight under different circumstances. Today we lost our former werewolf King. ", My father's Alpha voice rang through the trees and everyone went silent. Generally, my mother handled all the pack duties but tonight she was not in that state.

And from the next year, Benjamin will state handle the pack duties little by little.

.

I watched as my father swept his eyes over the entire pack, taking in the faces and gathering the strength to act strong. It was never easy to lose any wolf in a pack. He bowed his head slightly. A sign of respect to the lost wolf as well as signaling the release to begin. My brothers approached the fire, carrying the body of the grandpa wrapped in a white sheet.

.

They placed his body in the flames and cried from my mother filled the silence. My brothers stood by the flames, their tears glistening in the firelight and I force my eyes away. I couldn't watch so I focused on the shimmering stars and the bright moon looking down on us.

.

"Give him peace.", I whispered into the night as Rebecca's cries grow louder. With the soul released, the wolves started to howl. One long sorrowful howl for the soul sent to the spirit world. I couldn't stand there and run from there.

.

Andy...

.

I took a deep breathe to ignore how the wind sounds like calling my name. It's clearer here but I couldn't let my stupid imagination affect me.

SMACK...

I quickly turned my head when I heard the sound of the branch which broke from the tree behind me only to meet two pair of honey eyes staring back at me. I stopped breathing for a while because never in my life I had seen someone staring at me with so much intensity like I was the only one.

.

"Andy", He whispered my name. I opened my mouth to say something to him about who was he? How did he know my name? And many more but no words came out of my mouth. Instead, I kept looking at him as a fool.

.

A wave of cold breeze hit my face and for the first time in a century, it didn't call my name.

.

"Andy", His deep voice snapped me back from my Ooolalala land.

.

"Who are you? And How do you know my name?", I bombarded my questions. He started walking toward me with strange emotions in his eyes which I couldn't understand.

.

"I know your name from the day when your father started calling you, Andrella", He answered.

.

"What?", My eyes widened in shock. His words didn't make any sense.

.

"Your name had been imprinted on my heart from the day you were chosen.", He added, making me frown.

I took one step back from this weirdo.

Who was he?

And what was he talking about?

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 77: Epilouge

Andrella’s POV.“Why didn’t you wear the dress which I gifted you?”, Cade asked, the moment he saw me in a peach color mermaid style gown rather than the red, which he had gifted me. “Well, It’s not that you are not looking beautiful in it but I wanted to see you in the dress which I gifted you.”“Cade, it’s Becca’s marriage. Not mine!”, I reminded him, fixing his tie.“All right.”, He nodded in an understanding way. “By the way, I know you are going to be Becca’s bridesmaid but don’t forget your poor lover because my hand would start itching without touching you.”, He muttered and grabbed my round ass in his hand. I gasped in surprise and slapped at hand.

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 76: Welcome to the Family

Vince’s POV (Andrella’s Father) . Though Cade had informed me that my princess was him. I couldn’t help but start getting worried. You couldn’t blame me for that because whenever I had left my daughter with him, something definitely goes wrong in one way or another way. I was waiting for my princess to return home as soon as possible. And finally, I saw my princess reaching home with a big smile on her face. Thank god! This time nothing went wrong. I thought but immediately I realized that something was off. I couldn’t smell her, just like I couldn’t smell Cade’s presence. Once they complete the ritual, I wouldn’t be able to see my daughter. I knew that’s her destiny but I didn’t want that to happen. Thinking about the change in smell, it could only happen when...

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 75: Becoming One

Andrella’s POV.This was my turn to return his love.It was my turn to show him that I was his and I would do anything for him.But hearing my words out, he froze. “What did you say?”,I bit my lips. Tiptoeing I gave him a perk on his lips before giving him a shy smile. “I said….”, I started speaking, while he was waiting impatiently to hear me out, “NOTHING.”, I teased him and started laughing at his expression.“Annie, please”, He sounded desperate. “What did you say? Did you just...did you just say that you…”, He gulped nervously with a fear of what if I would start laughing AGAIN.

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 74: I love you

Cade’s POV . I watched Annie flying away from everyone as if she was scared that she could end up doing something worse. I was proud of her that she decided to leave rather than harming anyone even though her powers were not stable. Just like her father, even I didn’t run behind her because I knew she was disturbed and frustrated. It wouldn’t be wise to disturb her for a while after all I could find her location with my power. After an hour or two, I used my wind power and smiled finding her near the waterfall. Just like every school-age teenager, that place was OUR PLACE. In the next moment, I was near my bride, my love, my Annie. I didn’t have any idea about her mood now, but as per her father, it was not good to disturb any demons when the

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 73: Forcing Herself

Cade’s POV.She nodded her head. “Yeah! Just a headache”, She lied but I didn’t pressure her this time because I couldn’t help until she decided to share everything with me. It was like I couldn’t answer the question without knowing the question. “I will figure out everything very soon.”, She added, maybe after observing my worried expression.I studied her expression before nodding my head. “But be careful.”, I whispered and she gave me a reassuring smile before closing her eyes again.I felt useless, with the power that I had, still, I couldn’t help her.‘What a useless man I am.’

  • My Bride is Not a Human   Chapter 73: Are you okay, Annie?

Cade’s POV . “Annie, please tell me something.”, I asked again because I knew something was eating her up but she was not sharing that with me. I started feeling frustrated by this feeling since I used to be the one who used to handle everything, but this time, I had no idea how my bride was exactly feeling, and trust me this feeling was making me feel like shit. I felt weak. “Please”, I requested again. She sighed before speaking, “I am sorry for making me feel like this, Cade. And I know I should have talked with you about this before but I don’t think it’s that late.”, She paused for a while and then continued. “From the last few days, I am not able to remember my memories. It feels like those incidents are not true, especially the fact that you cheated on me.” SILENCE.
