The next few days felt like an endless cycle of sadness and confusion. Every moment seemed to weigh me down with the heaviness of what had happened.

The images of betrayal kept playing over and over in my mind, like a broken record that refused to stop. My heart felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces, and I didn't know if I could ever put it back together again.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, I heard a knock on my door. I got up to answer it and found Luca and Maggie standing outside, looking concerned. I tried to put on a brave face and gave them a fake smile, but I knew they could see through it.

"Yeah, what do you want, guys?" I asked, not really sure who was on the other side.

"We want to talk to you about Steve," Luca said, his voice sounding tense.

"I don't know who he is," I replied, feeling a little irritated.

"Don't talk like that, jer. Please listen to what he has to say. There's been a misunderstanding," Maggie interjected, trying to calm the
