My Copycat Sister

I was supposed to be the hopeless romantic marrying into high society, but my younger sister couldn't stop copying everything I did. When I tried on wedding dresses, she tried them on too. When I put on diamond rings, she wore them too. When I called Elliot my fiancé, she turned around and called him the same. Until one day, I overheard a conversation between her and Mom. "If your sister refuses to marry him, you can take her place. The position of Mrs. Fitzgerald shouldn't go to someone else." I smiled. After all, I had been lying to them, with zero intention of marrying Elliot. Trying on wedding dresses was just to make her jealous. Wearing diamond rings was to set the bait. Even having dinner with the Fitzgeralds every day was just to show her how glorious a seat at that wealthy high-society table looked. What she didn't realize was that Elliot was in a desperate rush to get married, not because he loved me. On the day of the wedding, my sister stepped up wearing my wedding dress, smugly linking her arm through Elliot’s. "Willow, don't blame me. You can't force love. From now on, I am Mrs. Fitzgerald." The very next second, I leisurely picked up the microphone. "Then do you know why he was so desperate to get married today?" The entire venue fell silent. Looking at her pale face, I smiled softly. "I forgot to tell you. He doesn't care who the bride is, as long as she can sign her name."
