CHAPTER 3 - Renewing the Plan

Erica's POV

"I can't help you with that. I mean it's such a big favor," he refused. He stood up and left the cafe, completely leaving me alone here. I looked at the glass wall and watch him drove away with his car.

Timothy Jones. Failed.

He was the fifth guy that I approach just this week, and he also refused just like what the other guys did. Looks like lady luck isn't with me.

I already had five failures. Should I keep on going?

When I got back at Silver's house, I immediately go to my room and sat down at my bed. Five failures. This is way harder than I thought it would be. My fifth failure leds me to so much questions and conclusions. What if no one else would be interested with me and would be willing to help me? What if I should just take my revenge from scratch? On my own?

Urgh! I'm literally being thirsty for revenge. Can anyone blame me? My own aunt and uncle had crossed the line too much and I was being punished for their crimes. I want them to experience what I have gone through while being imprisoned. I'll sent them to jail and they're going to pay for what they did.

"Erica?" It was Silver. She opened the door and sit on the bed, beside me. "You failed to convince him too?" she asked

"Yeah. Well, forget it. Maybe lady luck is'nt with me." I let out a bitter smile escape my lips.

She smiled. "Maybe this next man can help you," she mentioned

I don't know if I would be happy to what she said because for the moment, I thought to myself that maybe I could just do this on my own.

I looked at her. "Should I really need other's help for my revenge?" I asked her emotionally. "Maybe I don't need others, Silver."

"You wanna be independent and start on your own?" she asked genuinely with a coy smile on his lips. "That's a great decision."

"Besides, you'll help me, right?," I asked.

"Of course!" she exclaimed. We both laugh.

Right, I don't need a wealthy person to help me. On the other hand, I think what Klyde Morrison said actually makes sense. He is no God of Justice so even though he helped me, we can't be rest assured that I would commit the revenge and justice that I wanted.

I can do this. And once I got my revenge, I'll let my aunt and uncle feel the endless fires of hell.

"Right. So what's the plan?" she asked.

I remain silent for a moment. I stood up and started to walk around my room while thinking. "All I needed is evidence that will serve as proof that they were the ones who killed my grandpa."

"Soooo?" Silver interupted while remain sitted at my bed.

I stopped walking as I touched my chin. "My aunt and uncle were not perfect criminals. I'm sure that they left some clues and traces that will lead us to their crime. And once I found those clues, I could send them to jail already."

"But where would you get those evidences? We don't know where it is," said Silver.

She's right. "We need a perfect disguise!" I exclaimed as an idea popped into my mind.

"For what?" she asked.

I looked at him and smile. "You know what they say, the best way to attack the opponent is to sneak in to their nests." I let out a devilish smile escape my lips.

"Hey stop that smile of yours! You look creepy!" she complained. I chuckled as I did what she said, I let my devilish smile fade away in my lips.

I look through the window of my room and stared outside. "If only Madeline was still alive. She can proove that my aunt and uncle did the crime and not me," I murmured.

Madeline was a maid in our mansion. She was so kind and great, she was even my bestfriend when I still live there 7 years ago. But then I was sent to jail and after 3 weeks, Silver told me that she died. Police claimed that she committed suicide, but we didn't believed it. Before she died, she send a text message to Silver saying, "Madam Rosett and Master Gil was the one who killed Senior Enril".

And that's how Silver found out and told me that it was my aunt and uncle who killed my grandfather. But that text message no longer exist. Silver didn't delete it. She read the message but after 15 minutes it was gone. It vanished. And even Madeline's number was gone in her contacts and history. That's also the reason why we don't have any evidence until now. We believe that Silver's phone got hacked or something. It all seems like everything that is suspiciously connected to the death of my grandfather and Madeline, dissappeared all of a sudden.

Of course, I know that it was my aunt and uncle whose behind all of this incident. They want to clear all traces that can actually lead to them. But as I have said, they are no perfect criminals. I'll find those trail of clues and sent them to jail.

But, I gotta sneak in first.
