Prologue.

Hundreds of years ago, each realm lived in harmony, the dragons, the wolves, the witches… etc.

Till war ensued and divided the creatures, forcing the old gods to seal each realm from each other. The Moon Goddess valued peace, and as a way to try to bring the realms together, a werewolf was mated to another creature every century.

It did work for sometime but jealousy ran deep among some because of how powerful their descendants were. They planned and killed the hybrids fearing they would take over the realms and tighten the seal around the realms, so that the fated mates would never find themselves again.

Beep!! Beep!!

Beep!! Beep!!

Lunelle groaned and switched off the alarm clock beside her and covered her face again, wanting to return back to sleep.

“Lunelle!!!”

“Lunelle!!!” Luna Yudi screamed on top of her voice from downstairs, “Don't tell me you're still sleeping, if I meet you in that room young woman, I swear I will beat the crap out of you.”

Bang! Bang! Her mother hit her door continuously, “Young woman, who gave you the right to lock your door, open it this instant!”

“Ughhhhh….” Lunelle groaned before forcing herself to stand up. She stayed up all night feeling excited and slept late.“Good morning mother.”

“Oh, you know it's morning and yet you are on your bed, we have a birthday celebration to plan or have you forgotten that you will turn 18 tomorrow.” Luna Yudi scolded her.

“Oh shit!” She cursed after realizing herself, she looked at her mother with an apologetic smile, “Sorry mom, I totally forgot.” She rubbed her forehead. “What's the time?”

“11 am, go get dressed, and help me with the preparations”

“Ele— Mom I'll be right back.” She closed the door and immediately ran to the shower to freshen up. “How could you be so lazy, it is your birthday, your freaking birthday, dammit!”

After bathing she rushed downstairs and saw her father going through some files, “Hi Dad! Good morning,” she leaned and kissed him on his cheek.

Alpha Gabriel smiled at her, “Why are you up so early?”

“What do you mean? it's 11 if it was me you'd tell me I'll be fat from sleeping all day.”

Luna Yudi was setting the table for lunch. The house was decorated with pink and white for her 18th birthday tomorrow.

“You're so mean honey, Lunelle is our only daughter and the heir to the Silver clan, she will have a lot of responsibilities in the future that's the reason why I want her to have all the best now that she's still my baby.”

Luna Yudi rolled her eyes, “You're just double standard, you're making her more lazy.” She smacked her hands on Lunelle's head while she stuck out her tongue at her making Gabriel chuckle.

“Take a look at this guest list, these are all the Alpha's that will be present for your birthday celebration tomorrow. Look at their pictures, one of them may be your mate.”

“Really? I'll have a mate soon?” Her eyes lit up in happiness, “I'll have a mate soon? You hear that mom? I'll have a mate and we are going to have kids and grandkids.”

“I heard that Honey.” Luna Yudi sipped her drink.

“How will I know my mate?” She asked curiously.

“Well…” Alpha Gabriel coughed awkwardly, “you will find them undeniably attractive and your wolf will tell you.”

“Really?? Oh I can't wait to find a mate, he will love me and I will love him too and we will start a family..”

Luna Yudi chuckled hearing her daughter's words. “Snap out your fantasies and go get your clothes and jeweleries.”

“Can't you deliver them here? Or ask a maid to do it?” She pouted, she felt so lazy to go anywhere.

“No young lady, go and do it!” Lunelle looked to her father for help but he ignored her, “obey your mother, I'm not getting in trouble because of you.”

“Be back by three,” she added rubbing salt on the wound, Lunelle reluctantly agreed, she didn't have much of a choice.

After preparing to go out she called her best friend Mila and asked her to accompany her, which she agreed to, they met in a private room at a restaurant and had lunch there.

Lunelle had not eaten since morning so she was very hungry and dug into the food as if she was a hungry lion.

“Calm down Lu, you know if I didn't know better I would think that you're not fed by the Alpha, just look at your face, it's covered in sauce and so not ladylike.”

Lunelle looked at her friend awkwardly before both of them burst out in laughter.

“Look at your body that also has a lot of sauce, kettle calling the pot black, you just want me to leave some food for you.”

“No I don't!” Mila denied, “I was… just, you know.. saying, you're the next Luna and I'm just a nobody"

Lunelle held her hand, Mila was the daughter of her father's bodyguard, and her best friend while growing up, they were practically sisters.

“You're not a nobody, you're my friend and my sister. You're practically the only companion I have in this world that I can tell everything to because you won't judge me. I love you Mila.” Lunelle said truthfully.

“Awwn, you're making me teary eyed.” Mila cleaned her tears as both of them laughed.

“By the way….” Lunelle brought out a card from her bag, “my father's card, hehe… let's go shopping.”

“Yippee!” Mils shouted in joy because it meant more new things for her. She was already thinking of the new dresses she saw in the shop the other day but she couldn't afford them. She was thinking of a way to pull Lunelle away for shopping, thank goodness the opportunity presented itself.

“Let's go!” She pulled Lunelle who had just finished eating and was cleaning her mouth.

“Alright alright, slow down…”

They left the room and walked to the exit, when someone hit Lunelle's shoulders causing her bag and its contents to fall on the floor.

“Sorry,” the man apologized and helped her pack her things. Her hands accidentally grazed his palm which made her freeze. She had not been around men because of her parents strictness, this was the first time she had touched another man apart from her father. Her heart started beating erratically, was this her mate?

But she was not up to 18 yet, how could she sense him.

“Miss….” The man called her out again causing her to blink and regain her senses.

“Your purse” he stretched his hand that he was holding the purse with.

“Right, purse. Thank you” She smiled at him, he was handsome, black hair, fair skin, tall.. not that bad.

“I'm Ryan. Ryan Hendrix.”
