Chapter 76

Samantha Point of view 

It has been thirty minutes since we sat under the tree. After Rai said that he was sent here to kill me, I took a seat under a tree to process it while Rai went to another tree and waited.

I looked up to the sky and focused my gaze on the moving clouds. I was thinking about how did this happen. The first time we met, he saved me. We talked and he even helped me.

"Why didn't you kill me then?" I asked him. Rai looks up at me. "If you were here to kill me why did you save me during that storm?" 

Rai sighed, "I was told specifically to kill you. I saved you because you were not supposed to die by nature's hands but in mine." 

I bit the insides of my cheek and shook my head, "You had a lot of opportunities to kill me. You had me but you didn't kill me."
