I couldn't stop staring at his face because I thought I was imagining his face on someone else. I was watching for his face to morph into someone else. But thinking about it now, there is no one else that could fight monsters like him.

"L...iaa..rrr," the monster spoke. After Rai was done assessing my injury he stands up and turns towards the monster. The monster's arm was chopped off and so were his fingers. The parts that were separated began to burn into ashes. The monster was able to regenerate its lost body part. As it was regenerating, he retracted his arm back to his body and gave a deep frown. I got up several times to get some water and paced around the house to try to get myself tired enough to sleep. I would always look out the window thinking about how he was.
