Chapter 14: The morning after

Standing on the balcony of Grandma’s residential home, sipping on the warm tea she woke up to see by her bedside, hoping it would numb the constant pounding in her head while she tried to recount her memories of what the fuck happened last night.

It’s so weird that she can't seem to recollect anything reasonable or tangible, just some floaty flashes with Cedrica and Rain, aside from that, there is nothing.

Paige was so lost in thought that she didn't hear when her room door opened and didn't notice the presence of Cedric entering the room until the latter had his hands wrapped around her bosom and head nuzzled in her hair.

“Hi,” Cedric hummed, kissing her hair and ignoring the way Paige’s body tensed in his hold, “You should still be sleeping, why are you out here?”

“My alarm woke me up, I couldn't go back to sleep again,” she explained and Cedric hummed in understanding, “What are you still doing here? You should be at the office,”

“I took the day off.”

“Cedric?”
