Chapter 15 - Just for tonight, let's pretend

Paige

It was already dark outside when Paige woke up from her deep slumber again, she lay awake on the bed discombobulated by her environment before memories of earlier that morning came flooding her senses again.

She glanced around the room and realized that she was in fact alone, did she dream that? Or did Cedric actually show up, hugging her and loving her the way he did? It was so confusing to Paige because there was nobody around to see, so he didn't need to go out of his way to do that.

But he did, and Paige loved it and now she is confused if she was dreaming or it actually happened.

She knew she wouldn't have answers by sulking on the bed, so she groaned as she pushed herself out of the bed, threw on a bathrobe that sat on the edge of the bed and folded neatly and Paige’s gaze lingered on the material wondering how it got there.

“Urgh, this is why I hate taking afternoon naps, I barely remember anything after I wake,” she muttered to herself as she made her way to the kitc
