Chapter 4

***

A man stood looking at the dense forest ahead. He was standing on the balcony looking at the warriors who were training.

The man was Sean, an Alpha who was the leader of the goldmoon pack. Sean was cold, rarely smiled, but deadly. No one in their right mind would dare to get into trouble with him.

Sean looked back at the dense forest in front of him. The forest was tense, dark, and cold. For most people the forest was very scary but for Sean it was home. The place where he and his colonists belonged.

"Good morning Alpha." Sean turned around when he heard someone greeting behind him.

"What's up Beta Jason?" Sean looked at his deputy and friend.

"In the northern forest there was a group of Rouge who tried to infiltrate the pack. But they were caught." Jason told Sean about the problem that had just occurred.

"Their laws are like-" Sean's words trailed off as his heart beat slowly for a second, the man holding his chest.

"What's wrong Alpha?" Jason looked at Sean worriedly.

"Did you see that?" Sean turned around to stare at the wilderness.

"Saw what?" Jason stared uncomprehendingly.

Sean didn't answer as he focused on the dense forest ahead. Earlier when his heart was beating slowly he briefly saw a veil of light though only for a few seconds.

"What's wrong Alpha?" Jason stared in confusion at the dense forest ahead.

"I don't know either." Sean thought hard.

A warrior came towards Sean and Jason in a hurry.

"What happened?" Jason immediately asked.

"There are humans entering pack territory Beta Jason." The warrior said.

"What?" Sean asked confirming.

"A human entered our pack Alpha." The warrior replied.

"How is that possible? Is the pack seal broken?" Jason looked at Sean.

The man shook his head. "The pack seal is fine."

"Don't you feel that something is strange?" Alarick, Sean's wolf name spoke.

"Yes, but I don't know what it is." Sean went back to thinking.

"Could it be that she-"

"I don't feel it." Sean cut Alarick off.

"I think you should check it out Sean." Alarick warned Sean.

"Beta Jason!" A warrior sprinted toward them.

"What's wrong?" Jason looked at the warrior asking him to speak quickly.

"According to one of the captured Rouge, their leader hasn't been caught yet." Informed the warrior.

"What?!" Jason stared in disbelief. "Hurry up and find their leader!" Jason said while stepping quickly. They had to catch the leader of the Rouge immediately.

"Hurry up and move, Sean." Alarick spoke again.

Before Sean answered the warrior who was still there opened his voice first. "Sorry Alpha, what about that human?"

"Catch it too." Sean commanded.

"Yes Alpha." The warrior immediately stepped away.

After the warrior's departure Sean suddenly felt scared. "What happened?" Sean asked at the sudden feeling of fear.

The man felt scared and in danger but it was not him who was in danger.

"We have to save her immediately Sean." Alarick spoke again.

"Are you sure?" Sean asked while moving restlessly.

"Don't you feel it too?" Alarick asked.

Sean thought for a moment then suddenly his right leg hurt. He looked down at his leg nothing had happened meaning his and Alarick's assumptions were correct.

"Damn it!" Sean immediately ran quickly out of the packhouse. He couldn't be late, absolutely couldn't be late.

Ana's eyes rounded at the plants in front of her so that it didn't feel strange if after passing through the two trees the atmosphere and air around her changed from before. Ana did not know that she had just passed through the seal that the werewolf nation had put up to protect the residence and was invisible to ordinary eyes.

Ana walked with her eyes focused on the plants hanging from the tree.

"I can't believe I'm going to see a ghost orchid in person in the wild like this." Ana covered her mouth.

"That means two pieces of good news." Ana spoke to herself. "First, I can see this plant in person. I can even hold it. Then secondly this is a sign that the notes in the book are correct. Darice would really faint if that's happening." Ana smiled while smelling the scent of the ghost orchid.

Ana picked up her cell phone, she intended to make a video call to Darice so that the girl could see the ghost orchid. Ana looked at her cell phone then sighed when she saw that it was completely dead.

"There's no way it ran out of power." Ana stared at her cell phone cluelessly then put it back in her bag. The girl picked up the camera intending to take a photo of the ghost orchid but strangely, her camera was also completely dead.

"What's going on?" Ana's hair stood up, now it was starting to feel creepy.

Ana looked around and saw nothing. Ana debated whether to go back or keep going. After fighting between her mind and heart Ana decided to go back, she would come back tomorrow.

But when she turned around Ana was surprised by someone who looked at her hungrily. Ana jumped back, both surprised and frightened.

"Who are you?" Ana ventured to laugh.

The man in front of her smiled eerily. "I will eat you."

"Hurry up Alarick." Sean was getting more and more anxious as the feeling of fear and desperation grew.

Alarick didn't answer he just focused on picking up speed. It wasn't long before he saw the Rouge leader strangling a girl making Alarick unable to control his anger. He roared as loud as possible making the ground around him tremble.

"Damn you!" Sean glared at the Rouge. "Finish him Alarick."

"No need to ask." Alarick immediately lunged at the Rouge leader then clawed him to death.

"What happened?" Jason came with the warriors.

"Throw him over the border to feed the beasts." Alarick gave the order then approached Ana who was lying unconscious. He smelled Ana's odor. The odor was very fragrant and felt very familiar.

"Give me Sean's clothes." Alarick said, the warrior carrying Sean's clothes immediately placed the clothes near their leader. Alarick immediately changed.

"Why did this human get into our pack?" Jason looked at Ana.

"Don't touch her Beta Jason." Sean threatened. After finishing dressing Sean approached Ana then took the girl in his arms.

"who is this woman, Alpha?" Jason asked again.

"She's your Luna." Sean's words took Jason and the others by surprise.

"We're back at the packhouse. Beta Jason the punish the Rouge more sadistic than usual." Sean said coldly, he immediately left for the packhouse with Ana in his arms.
