Chapter 11 - Deal

Liiza's POV

Give it to me I'm worth it.

Baby, I'm worth it.

I'm worth it.

Gimmie, Gimmie I'm worth it.

Rolling over in my bed, I slam the snooze button sleepily.

It's Monday. Which means school.

After taking a quick shower, I wrap my towel around my body and head to my walk in wardrobe. I pick out a few outfits and prop them up against my body, trying to formulate what I'm going to wear.

Finally, I go with a white, cropped sweater and dark blue wash, ripped jeans paired with white Adidas sneakers and gold accessories.

I grab my phone. One new notification: Rilee. Hey babs, can't pick you up today. Sorry. :,(

How am I going to get to school? I'll have to call Zach to pick me up.

I flick to the phone app and scroll down to his number but I am interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Come in!" I called. The door opens to reveal Cass.

"Morning Liiza, just wanted to pop in and say breakfast is ready. Andree is already eating."

I nod my head in response, flashing a quick smile, and she leaves me to finish getting ready.

I have already been here for an entire week and nothing really has happened. Sure, there was that time, but other than that it's been pretty uneventful.

After walking downstairs, I slide into the stool two seats away from Andree at the breakfast bar.

"Good morning." I mutter, serving myself some cereal in the bowl in front of me.

"Morning." He grunts, his eyes unwavering from his phone.

Soon after finishing breakfast, I hear a car honk.

Andree promptly stands from his chair, grabbing his black backpack from his floor.

"Do you need a lift?" He asks, sighing audibly.

"Um..." I check my phone for the time. It's pretty late, too late to call Zach for a lift, if we want to get to school on time. "Yeah, thanks."

He half-smirks in response, pointing to the door. "Ride's here."

I follow him to the door, grabbing my bag on the way out. Andree opens the passenger door to the silver Range Rover in the driveway, and I slip inside to the other compartment.

It takes a moment until I realize Ken is in the driver's seat.

"Ken!" I grasp.

"Weird choice, man." He starts, giving Andree a fist bump.

"Our parents are friends, apparently." Andree beats me to answering. "Do you really think I would hit that?"

Ken laughs casually. "You can get desperate, dude."

"Shut up." Andree responds quickly. "She's staying at my house for three weeks."

"Huh." Ken shrugs, turning up the radio.

The rest of the ride is fairly uneventful, especially with me tuning out their conversation, instead focusing on my I*******m feed.

As soon as the car comes to a stop, I hop out, muttering a quick thanks to the boys.

I make my way to my plain locker to meet Rilee. "Hey, Riles!"

"Hey girl."

"I need to know all the details from A-Z from last night." I squeal.

Rilee and I share everything with each other. She knows ALL my secrets. I think.

"What happened yesterday?" A voice asks curiously, and I spin around to see Zach.

"Hey, babe." I choke out quickly, before turning to the rest of the boys. "Hey, guys."

"Hey Liiza." Jack shoots a grin.

"What's the gossip?" Zach asks again, coolly snaking his arm around my waist.

It feels weird. Really weird. I shift, awkwardly, trying to focus on the other people in the group.

"Jonah surprised me." She grins, looking up to his tall frame. "He wrote a song for me."

The way Rilee looked at Jonah was different. Very different. Something definitely happened between them.

"Hey, that's really cool. You sing too?" Caleb smiles, bumping Jonah's shoulder lightly.

Jonah nods quickly, the embarrassment evident on his face. "I guess. I'm not that good."

"He's a-m-a-z-i-n-g." Rilee interjects, resting her head on his chest.

Jonah smiles down at Rilee, hugging her softly.

"Did you guys hear about the extended weekend?" Dylan starts. "Something about a teacher strike."

"That's wild." Jack laughs. "Do you all know what that means?"

"Three days free from you?" Caleb responds playfully.

Jack rolls his eyes, playing it off. "I mean, I was going to say we can finally have that quintuple date thing, but I guess that too Caleb."

"God, I totally forgot about that." Rilee exclaims, excited.

"That's actually a good idea for once, Jack." Caleb jokes. "How does it feel?"

"Just great." Jack grins. "When are we all free?"

"I mean, I'm probably free on Friday. Gotta talk to Sierra though."

Everyone nod in agreement.

"Friday, it is!" Jonah exclaimed.

"Great then. We'all meet at B&W?" I ask.

"Yeah," they all said in unison, as the bell rings.

"Great! Now if you will excuse me, I have guitar practice to go to" Dylan gives a quick wave and begins to walk away.

Everyone goes their separate ways. I take out my books from my locker and walk to biology, all set for boredom.

My biology teacher spends most of his time sleeping. All he does is write an exercise or homework on the board and goes off to sleep.

Some teachers have to be fired. I plug in my earphones, taking a seat close to the back. I try to drown out the sound of the shouting of the people around me.

The worst part is that I have no one to talk to.

I close my eyes, leaning back in my seat, relaxing to the sound of my music. Suddenly, my earphone gets ripped from my ear.

My eyes open to the sight of Andree, smirking.

He slides into the seat beside me, leaning over to my table.

"Missed me? He grins.

"What do you want?" I yawn.

"I think you're forgetting something."

"What?"

"You owe me."

"What?"

He gives me a light push on my shoulder, his dumb smirk still smothered onto his dumb face.

"The deal." It all comes back to me. I thought that Andree had forgotten about our stupid deal by now, I have already given him 3 lessons. That I would tutor him, in exchange for his silence about me eating all of Cassandra's cookies.

"Why don't you just continue ignoring me? I think we both enjoy that more." I roll my eyes again.

"Keep rolling your eyes and you might find a brain back there."

"Yeah, okay." I focused my attention back onto the board, pissed that Andree just decided to take up his end of the deal.

I just want to sleep.

The day passes slowly, my mind still racing from the encounter with Andree. Rilee and I decided to go shopping for some new clothes for Friday. Got to make good impressions, of course.

Now, Rilee and I are in her car, making our way to the mall, jamming out to 'Galaway Girl' by Ed Sheeran.

"BUT SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH A ENGLISH MAN!" Rilee and I sing along loudly, windows rolled down.

"♫KISS HER ON THE NECK AND TAKE-♫" We get cut off when an older man, probably in his fifties, yells from the window of his car.

'You teenagers gotta keep your mouths shut!"

"Sorry!" We yell back, bursting out laughing. I turn down the volume.

We arrived at the mall 10 minutes later.

After about an hour of unsuccessfully roaming the first floor, we made the decision to leave.

What are we going to wear?
