Benjamin POV :
As predicted Daisy has given a good impression on Grandpa. And I think my story worked well too. I hate to lie but my Grandpa is so adamant that I had to do it. So Amanda's engagement is postponed, that's good. Before she can prepare for the wedding, hopefully, Daisy will increase Grandpa's confidence in me. I felt weird whenever I got so close to Daisy. I can agree that she is one of the best among beauties I have ever seen. Like her dark brown eyes are so attractive that I could hardly stop myself from staring into them. It's not like I haven't seen beautiful sexy women. I have seen plenty, but none of them could make me feel anything special for them. And when I was in college, my Dad passed away and the whole tense situation came. Then my only target was to prove myself first in business and take back Our company from Uncle Tom.I never exactly dated anyone or had the time to fall in love. So, it is very difficult for me to talk nicely when it comes to girls. I use my formal tone with everyone except my mom.Huh... Staying in the same room did not seem to be a good idea. But I know, it will be suspicious if we stay in different rooms. Damn it... I mean, I don't have any problem. But, ... I lit my cigarettes while thinking about all these, and was looking outside from the balcony. Then I saw the car coming inside. Mom, Aunt and Amanda stepped out of it. They haven't seen me. So I quickly went to my room. When I opened the door I saw Daisy relaxing on the sofa with her new phone. Her eyes were closed and her bluetooth was connected. She must be enjoying the music. She was gently tapping her fingers according to the music. I wanted to make her aware of my presence, but I was so drawn to the sight. Then I noticed the wetness on her cheeks. oh, she must have been crying. I hate to see people cry. So I immediately tap on the sofa to make her aware of my presence. She immediately stood up and cleared her tears and turned her face to look in another direction. I didn't wanted to disturb her at the moment. I know she must be embarrassed that i saw her crying. So I went to the washroom to give her time to settle. When I went back to the room, she was all good, just as she never cried a few minutes before. There was an awkward silence between us. I wanted to give some space or have some privacy between us. But as long as we stay here, we needed to stay in the same room together. I sat on the seat near by and was about to check my mails, then there was a knock. Daisy looked at me in response, as if asking what she should do. I gestured her to stay. When I opened it my mom stepped in with a broad smile."Ben, finally you came... I missed you so much..." She hugged me tightly. I know she misses me. But what can I do? I often travel and get so busy with work that I hardly get time to visit her. And she is not ready to move in with me as my Dad's memories are linked here."missed you too mom..." I hugged her back with a small smile."So where is my daughter in law.." She moved me aside and went to Daisy.Daisy plastered a small smile while she was wiggling her fingers in tension. "Mom knows that you're nobody to me. So don't worry, I will be back in two hours okay..."I closed the door and went outside as my mom already knew the truth. She knows I never had a girl in my life. And I will do anything to get what belongs to me. I am fed up with explaining things. They can talk and settle on their own. When I stepped out of the house, I saw Uncle Tom coming with a serious face. Hm. I think my marriage news had already reached into his ears."good evening Uncle Tom.." I politely wished."Yeah, it's a really good evening.." I heard him say sarcastically."I heard you got a wife now. Not bad Nephew, you are faster than I thought.""The world is going fast, so if we want something you got to act faster. Thank God, I found my love finally.." I replied with the same tone he used. His facial features tightened." I really hope all your efforts are worth it at the end..." "Thanks, uncle. I heard Amanda's engagement was postponed. I felt sad for her.""It's because of some unavoidable situation. It is just postponed, not ruined. Anyways, it's good that you are here with your wife to meet the family. I will see you two at dinner."By saying this he went inside. I know my Uncle is a snake. Even though my dad and uncle share the same blood, Uncle has got all the worst traits. But he covers inside and appears as a gentle person. Even Grandpa fall for his charms sometimes. But the people who crossed him know who he really is. I know he will do anything to expose me and my plans. And will also try to prove the company will be safer in Amanda's hands. But I will not let him do it.while going outside, I informed Melvin to keep an eye on Daisy. As my Uncle can be very tricky, he may offer better money to Daisy to spoil my plan. Even though she seems like an innocent person, I can't take the risk. The way she gawks at the mansion, I think she is a bit greedy. I have been treating her well as Melvin suggested. Better she follows my words, or else I will have to keep her in place.Ben's POV :It was a busy day at the office. And when I finally had time for lunch, I remembered Daisy. She treated my injured hand and even fed me last night. I'm sure she's eating at the cafeteria. And I always order food from the city's five-star hotels. So I decided to place an order for her as well. Melvin texted her even though he teased me. However, as expected, she preferred to eat in the cafeteria. But when Melvin saw Daisy with a few of our employees, particularly Edwin, coming out of a restaurant, I became irritated. If she wanted to go out to eat with them, she should have told Melvin. I was enraged that she had lied. In that mood I even skipped my lunch.Soon I got her message, but I was obviously in a bad mood. But when she explained why she texted, I felt a little better. At the very least, she wasn't concealing the fact that she had gone out with them. But why is Edwin putting in so much effort on her? I've known him for several years. He is not a player. And I haven't
Daisy's POV : I was feeling proud when Ben defended me as Amanda tried to use the Jayda card to make me feel bad. I was pleased that his words made her shut her mouth. I knew Grandpa had something important to say. But his attention was drawn to Ben's injury, and he warned him to be more careful in the future. And what he said about our "future children" made me almost choke on the food I was eating. Ben handed me a glass of water, which I quickly drank. Even though Ben said we needed time, I knew Grandpa was eager for a great-grandchild. But he didn't realise it would never happen through me. The main topic of discussion was Amanda's engagement. It is scheduled in two weeks. But what tipped me off was Grandpa's desire to throw a party for us. Especially to introduce me to family members. Grandpa had already decided on it, despite Ben's opposition. He also suggested that I invite my family to help me solve the problems. Uncle Tom and Aunt Amelia took advantage of the situation and ca
Ben's POV : I became enraged when Daisy told me she was being pursued by thugs. I was angry not only with her, but also with myself because I was partially to blame. She wouldn't have left if I hadn't gone with Jayda or returned in time. I wanted to know who dared to look at my wife... even though she is a contractual wife, she is Mrs Harrison. And someone tried to offend her. I can't think about the rest if Edwin hadn't arrived on time. Those who took part in this dangerous game needed to be compensated. And because this is such a personal matter for me, I wanted to make them pay for it myself. I'm familiar with the location she mentioned, and when I went there, three of them were present. They were on high alert as I stepped outside. But I haven't given them the opportunity to flee or fight back. And I used my fighting abilities. When they were almost dead meat, I told them that this was their reward for pursuing my wife. At the time, I felt as if I meant every word of it. Daisy
Daisy's POV : I sigh heavily once he's gone. Although he made me stay home today as punishment, I didn't mind because I had planned to take the day off due to my illness. I attempted to stop him so that I could tell him that Edwin was the person who saved me last night. I gulped instead of responding when he gave me that doubtful look. I have trouble explaining why to him. Why has his proximity to me had such a strong impact on me? The devil, I need to calm down. His mother soon arrived with brunch. and placed the bowl of oatmeal in my hands while sitting next to me. I was perplexed as I stared at her. "Daisy, eat this. It is light and nutritious. When you have a fever, it helps. I've also called the doctor." How do you know I'm unwell, though? Even Ben was unaware that I had a temperature. ...or did he? Is it the reason he advised me to stay in? "Ben informed me, of course. He had told me to look after you. Even though he won't express it out loud, he is a really caring perso
Ben's POV : Daisy…!! She was very surprised by my dinner plan and she loved the view from there. As she talked about her capacity with alcohol, I felt like she was opening up to me. And I would like to know more about her. After all, we are going to spend a year together. If we can have a friendly relationship, that's the best. I was in thought, that's when she called me. Before any of us could respond, Jayda came in. And she didn't leave her usual style even when I introduced Daisy as my wife. Daisy was polite, whereas Jayda completely ignored her and concentrated on me only. She even doubted our marriage and wasn't ready to accept it was real. Yes, that's what Jayda is… She is a very persistent and adamant character. But deep down, all she does is for love. She is my childhood friend and I know her well. I was sure that Amanda would inform Jayda of everything soon and even expected her entry back into my life soon. But, I didn't foresee her appearing here out of the blue. And some
Daisy's POV : I was so delighted to drive the limited edition Ferrari baby. He was so good in my arms. And I sure made an impression on Ben, as he thought I couldn't drive sports cars well. But the day was meant for surprises for me. He took me to the famous mall in town and even stayed with me the whole time. Of course, he was busy on his phone now and then. But, he didn't leave me there alone. I know this shopping was not only because he promised me, but also a publicity stunt. As we were in the crowd and people were gawking at us, he would keep me close or hold my hands. So I went with the flow. After trying the gown, I had to check with him. After all, he is the one paying for it and he must be the one to make sure that the gown suits whatever event is on his mind. He insisted on not changing the dress, so I know he was taking me to some event. I wanted to know more information about it, as I don't know whom I will meet there. I just want to be prepared. But, he wasn't giving an
