23. The clause

Ben's POV :

It was a busy day at the office. And when I finally had time for lunch, I remembered Daisy. She treated my injured hand and even fed me last night. I'm sure she's eating at the cafeteria. And I always order food from the city's five-star hotels. So I decided to place an order for her as well. Melvin texted her even though he teased me. However, as expected, she preferred to eat in the cafeteria. But when Melvin saw Daisy with a few of our employees, particularly Edwin, coming out of a restaurant, I became irritated. If she wanted to go out to eat with them, she should have told Melvin. I was enraged that she had lied. In that mood I even skipped my lunch.

Soon I got her message, but I was obviously in a bad mood. But when she explained why she texted, I felt a little better. At the very least, she wasn't concealing the fact that she had gone out with them. But why is Edwin putting in so much effort on her? I've known him for several years. He is not a player. And I haven't
