DEARON

“Darcio abducted her,” I strained through my teeth as rage hummed in my veins. I paced back and forth by the campfire, struggling to process our situation. “We need to find a way to save her…”

Morvan gave me an unimpressed look before shoving a piece of meat into his mouth. Rafe ripped the meat plate out of his grip and tossed him a spiteful glance. “The food is for those who actually are ready to do something,” he snarled.

“Do something about what?” Morvan raised his brows. “As far as I'm concerned, Kaira Meris made her choice. She escaped. She went straight to Darcio. She is a traitor. She's like her mother: a cheap Sarendonian whore—”

The last note died as Torin's fist collided with Morvan's jaw. I couldn't help but smirk as I watched the bastard topple off the tree trunk where he sat and land on the ground with a dull thud. “Watch your fucking tongue!” Torin seethed.

I stepped toward him and patted his shoulder. “Nice to know you finally start acting like a brother should,”

Now, they may have a fighting chance with Saura. I wonder with the three combo of witches if that will make them more powerful than Heletria? I hope so.

  • My Fated Enemy   All My Fears

DEARONThe second after Nazo, Rafe, and I had crossed Korendorr's border, my restlessness exploded. Kaira was all I could think of. The darkest fears clawed at my guts, and none of them could be silenced. Nazo and Rafe kept reminding me that Torin had been there to help her, or rather, to stop her in case she had gone too far. But everything within me kept telling me another threat lurked in the shadows of my kingdom.I knew I should have gone straight to Oryndale and informed everyone about the alliance I had signed with Alpha Rain, but I couldn't. I had sent Nazo and Rafe in my stead while I stormed toward Airgead Hills. My anxiety kept growing the closer I was to the Moon Cave. The rational voice inside me reminded that Torin had placed guards for Kaira's protection. Besides, no one aside from the worthy ones was allowed to enter the caves. Kaira should have been safe there. But those arguments did nothing to dissolve the fears within me. Those exploded when I reached out to Kaira

  • My Fated Enemy   Turning the Tide of War

KAIRATorin's eyes traveled from the several shining Moon Tears in his hands to my face. A deep frown appeared, his jaw tightening.I let out a long sigh. “I told you, I'm fine.” I spread my arms wide and spun around two times to emphasize my words. “See?”“You can move,” he grumbled. “That barely says anything.”I shot him a look. “My head isn't spinning, and I don't have any headaches. Not since—”“Since you lost consciousness and slept for three days?” he supplied with a wry smile.I stepped closer to the wagon packed with six bags of Moon Tears and pointed at one of them. “This will help us win. You know it. I know it. Father knows it, too.”“I know,” he strained. “But it doesn't mean I'm OK with you jeopardizing your health this way.”I gave him a soft smile and held his gaze for a longer moment. “Thank you for being here,” I said quietly, placing my hand on his shoulder. He huffed. “I have to be here. Who else would have stopped you from exhausting yourself?”My smile widened th

  • My Fated Enemy   An Old Soul

Three hours had passed from our peculiar introduction, and now, Rafe, Nazo, and I were sitting at a large table eating and drinking with Alpha Rain and her trusted men. The future ruler of Dagonrel was nothing like I had expected, and not only because she was a woman. I was certain she would make a remarkable Queen.Unlike Salvius, who was currently chained to the wall in the opposite corner of the room where we feasted, the other wolves at the table treated their Alpha with utmost respect; most of them stared at her in admiration. She oozed power and bloodlust. I was sure she didn't refrain from cruelty on the battlefield or when serving punishments. Salvius, with his hands above his head and feet slightly dangling an inch beneath the ground, was an obvious example. Nonetheless, when I saw her smile at her men, I saw kindness and a sense of justice. I was almost certain she and Kaira would have quickly become friends.Rain's golden eyes locked on me, and she raised her chalice. “I do

  • My Fated Enemy   Dagonrel

DEARONIt had taken us six days of constant riding to reach Dagonrel. Of course, we would have reached it sooner had it not been for the fact that we had to breach the Eudoris borders first. It had happened right after the war had begun. Sarendonia had claimed the near-border piece of land, blocking our way to the potential ally. Now the only way to Dagonrel led through either Sarendonia or Eudoris.Certainly, the Fiery Mist Pack had done whatever they could to ward their near-border piece of land with as many spells as possible. Fortunately, having one spare Moon Tear came in handy in that matter…Once in Dagonrel, we stopped in the first village on our way. We needed to feed our horses and get some rest before meeting with Alpha Rain. I was willing to do whatever it took for the meeting to go flawlessly because it had to.Sitting in the tavern as we waited for our food and drinks, I pulled out the now dull Moon Tear, turning it around in my fingers.“We had to use it,” Nazo muttered

  • My Fated Enemy   Sacrifice

KAIRAI felt a warm hand holding mine a second before my eyes opened. The softness of the pillow was the next thing I felt. I blinked a few times, realizing I was in my chamber in Oryndale with Dearon holding my hand as he slept, sitting in the chair by the bed with his head and most of his upper body resting on the mattress.Smiling softly, I gently ran my fingers through his silky, dark hair. He woke up at once. Drawing a sharp breath, he straightened up and extended his hand to touch my forehead and cheek. “Are you all right?” he asked hoarsely.A nervous chuckle escaped me. “I feel fine… Why wouldn't I be…” The realization made my words fade. Then my throat dried. We had been in the camp. I remembered the moment a messenger had come with the news about the attack on our borders. I remembered feeling weak, the throbbing in my head, the suffocating… and then nothing. My body covered with cold sweat. Dearon studied me, fear glinting in his eyes. I swallowed, trying to kill the drynes

  • My Fated Enemy   Freshly Mated

DEARONMy mate. Never had I thought I would feel such peace, and I knew it was because of her. My love for her had grown before our mate bond appeared, but only now did I realize how I longed for her in my life.Made for me. She was perfection, every inch of her, and every single detail could easily trigger more desire. I craved her, wanted her beyond the limits of sanity. I would have gladly spent days or weeks buried in her and killed anyone who would have tried to separate us.Especially that last detail turned out to be quite uncontrollable. I'd even growled at Saura when she had helped Kaira get dressed for the road. Fortunately, the witch had only laughed and explained that extreme possessiveness had been something natural among newly mated couples. Well, I wouldn't know. The bonds no longer existed when I was born…Even if my logical mind reminded me of how ridiculous it was, I felt restless knowing we were heading to the training camp with over a hundred male warriors in it.
