Dylen’s POV

I had barely stepped into the school, my senses still adjusting to the chaotic energy of this human world, when I saw her. My Evelyn—no, Avelynne. She was doing some back flips and then… she tripped.

The moment I caught her, all the noise around me vanished. Every set of eyes in the field, every whisper, every gasp but it didn’t matter. Here she was, in my arms, her heart was beating fast against my chest, and the scent of her… intoxicating.

I could feel the heat rising inside me, Kaelith was stirring within me,whispering, reminding me why I could never let her go. Despite the fact that half of him is gone,he still longs for her.

“She’s mine,” Kaelith murmured, a low growl of satisfaction and warning.

I ignored him for now, focusing on the sheer thrill that surged through me. To be greeted by her, to feel her pulse beneath my palm… it was a blessing. A privilege I hadn’t earned but would claim regardless.

Her eyes looked up at mine, wide and startled. Despite all the dang

Dylen’s POVThe night was supposed to be quiet, calm, a moment to plan, regroup, and strategize. Yet here I was, standing in the middle of my study with shards of glass scattered across the floor, and Kaela and Rhydian inching backward like I might suddenly turn into a storm.“I can’t… I cannot believe this!” I bellowed, fists clenched on the edge of the table. My voice echoed through the room as I glared at the shattered remnants of my crystal goblet.Kaela raised a brow. “My Lord… calm yourself—”“Calm myself?” I roared, pacing a jagged circle around the room. “Did you see what he did? That Josh—that human—he dared—he dared—to lift her chin like that!”Rhydian’s lips twitched into a smirk. “She’s probably enjoying it, My Lord.”Both Kaela and I whirled around to glare at him, eyes narrowing dangerously. Rhydian’s smirk faltered under the intensity of our stares, but it didn’t stop me from screaming, half in exasperation, half in disbelief.“And then!” I continued, my hands now runni

Evelyn’s POV (I)Isla’s arms wrapped around me the moment I walked up to her.“Evelyn!” she gasped, squeezing me so tight I thought my ribs would crack. Then she quickly pulled back, her nose twitching like a bloodhound. “Wait—” she sniffed again, eyes widening. “You smell like him!”I blinked, half‑dazed, still trying to steady my racing heart. “Like who?”“The new sport psychologist!” she said in a dramatic whisper, as if announcing the end of the world. “Evander Cole! You smell just like him, Eve—like his cologne, or whatever godly thing that man wears.”I couldn’t help it.I chuckled while falling backward onto the grass. “Maybe I do,” I said, half laughing, half trying not to think about how his arms had felt around me. Isla plopped down beside me, still wide‑eyed. “Oh, don’t you dare blush,” she warned, pointing a finger at me. “Oh wait, she's already blushing.”I rolled my eyes, brushing my hair away from my face. “I’m not blushing,” I lied. My cheeks were definitely warm.

EVELYN’S POV If someone had told me a few weeks ago that I’d actually like living in the human world, I’d have laughed. Loudly. But here I was, lying on my bed in a sun-lit room with pink curtains fluttering and a faint vanilla scent in the air, smiling like an idiot.I loved it here. The air was calmer, the people were easier to read, and nobody cared about titles or packs. For the first time in forever, I wasn’t the Alpha’s daughter or some future Luna in training—I was just Evelyn.Still, sometimes my thoughts wandered back to the Lycan, the one who had stolen Lord Dylen’s body. The whole memory still made my heart race. Why would anyone do that? And why him of all people? Then again… gods, he was handsome. I found myself biting my lip at the thought of him—those sharp cheekbones, that calm but dangerous gaze, that air that screamed trouble wrapped in silk. Why hate a handsome creature like him? I guess he's the one who injured Aldric. Why didn't I feel angry before? Oh well.Sylva

EVELYN’S POV The scent that hit me wasn’t ordinary, fresh pine mixed with something richer. My breath stuttered. My palms flattened against his chest, and dear moon goddess, it felt like touching carved stone.“Whoa…” I whispered. The stranger looked down at me with a faint smirk tugging at his lips. Brown hair framed his face in a messy, almost careless way that shouldn’t have been this perfect. And those eyes, light brown, studied me as if he knew exactly who I was. For a few seconds, I couldn’t think. My wolf stirred uneasily. He smells like…“Wolf,” Sylvara finished for me, her voice sharp, alert. “Definitely a wolf.”Then his lips parted, his voice smooth and deep enough to ripple through my chest. “Daughter of Alpha Rosendale?” he whispered. My eyes widened. “H-how do you—?”He smiled, the corners of his mouth curving upward so effortlessly it was almost unfair. “You really don’t hide your scent that well, princess.”Princess? Why did that sound cute in his lips? Before I could s

EVELYN’S POV When I opened my eyes, the ceiling wasn’t the one from Silver Pine Pack.No creaky wood, no faint scent of pine or wolf musk. Just a smooth, cream ceiling and the smell of… vanilla? For a moment, I blinked at it, confused. Did I die? Then a familiar voice chuckled in my head.“You’d never get through the moon gates, sweetheart. You’re too dramatic for heaven.”I gasped, sitting up instantly. “Sylvara!”“I’m still alive and thriving in your head,” she purred. “You think I’d let you have peace and quiet?”I let out a shaky breath.“Goddess, you scared me. I thought you—”“vanished? Please. You couldn’t get rid of me even if you tried.” Silly wolf! The room was spacious, with cream-colored curtains and a view of the city skyline through the tall window. I wasn’t in the pack anymore, that much was obvious. I guess Dad moved me here while I was asleep. So this is the human world, I thought while dragging a hand through my hair. Doesn’t look so bad.A knock suddenly echoed throu
