Chapter 14

In a split-second after stepping on a snare, I was hoisted up into the air, under a tree. The shock and discomfort I felt from being pulled up made my wolf vexed. Suddenly my bones reshaped, my wolf’s silver hair popped up from under my skin, and my fingers turned to claws.

“Run! Get out of here.” I yelled at Rissa as I struggled with the pain I was getting from trying to prevent myself from shifting.

Thankfully, Rissa was a few feet behind me when I stepped into the trap. Else, the both of us would have been stuck together in that trap, mid-air.

In a matter of seconds, I had completely shifted into my big wolf.

‘What the hell is she still doing there?’ I said in my mind. Then I realized that I could still see Rissa from my wolf’s eyes, even though I was trapped inside my wolf’s body. It wasn’t like this before.

Obviously, some things were changing in terms of my human-wolf interaction. Before now, whenever my wolf sprung up, I would be totally oblivious to what was happening. Impriso
