Chapter Sixty Four

(TEO'S POV)

I hoped Laurent was alright.

In the woods, I thought I heard his familiar scent. I wasn't exactly sure where he was, but I would have to find him. I felt a surge of pity for my junior brother, for the fact that he had believed so much in mates being the perfect match and all; he thought his mate would finally be the one; he would never have to feel lonely again, but he had been wrong.

I couldn't hold a grudge against Sophie; everyone had the right to make their own decisions.

I headed back into the woods. I didn't miss the many shocked looks I got from pack members; I should be dead. Some stared at me like they had just seen a ghost.

I missed them all, more than I could admit to anyone; this had been my home once. But it was not anymore; still, this had been where I had spent the best parts of my life.

I headed into the woods, following the familiar trail. After minutes of wondering around, there was still no sign of him. At a point, I thought I wouldn't be able to find him
