LILIANA POV

I tried to squint my eyes as I tried to adjust to the light coming from my window. I looked around to realize that I was finally in our bedroom. I tried to sit as I felt my head and body tormented in pain. Just in time for my husband to come in. He looks so tired and he run towards me.

He didn't say a word. He just hugged me tight and he was trembling in fear.

I let go of his hug to look him in the eyes.

"Xavier, are you alright?" I am glad to see him safe. I remember how scared I am knowing he could be in danger yesterday.

"Takashi is dead, Lily, you are safe now. I am thankful he didn't hurt you. We just arrived on time yesterday," he told me.
