chapter 7 early dinner

When Arianne went downstairs to grab a bite her phone rings.

"hello?"

"hi baby!"

"Jace? Pfft! so to whom I owe this pleasure of call?"

"feisty! That's how I like it baby!" he said then chuckle.

"whatever! Don't you have school today?" she said as she open the fridge to look for something to eat.

"its done already! So I'm just wondering If you would want to hangout with me?!!!"

"why? are you bored or something? I thought you have friends?" she said playfully.

"not like that dumbass! Mason and Kyle went somewhere else I don't know and besides I'm feeling hungry now so I thought you being a food lover would want it."

"Ohh foodie! okay actually I'm really starving at this moment and my last meal was still from last night!"

"Whoa! Don't tell me you're like the other girls you know, being careful with their diet to maintain a sexy bod? wait are you trying to seduce, I mean impress me?"

"ewww! to hell with that Jace! I just want a good meal now is it possible?"

"just kidding baby! How about I pick you out in lets say 20?"

"sure then! drive safe bye!"

After the call Arianne grab her sling bag and made sure that her phone, keys and money are in there. Then she decided to wait for Jace outside. After a few minutes she saw his gorgeous sports car arriving.

"hi gorgeous!" he said and wink.

"hello Jace! So where are you taking me?" She ask as she enter his car totally ignoring his flirting. Then put on her seatbelt for safety measure of course.

"I saw this restaurant the other week and I think it's new. I just wanted to try it now." He said while keeping his eyes on the road.

Few minutes then they arrived to their destination. They went inside the restaurant and settle in a table for two beside the window. The restaurant seems new and the interior decors are so cool.

"Welcome to Laura's! Can I take your order?" said the redhead waitress as she directly eyeing Jace.

"I'll have buffalo chicken wings, double cheeseburger, large fries and iced tea." Jace passing her the menu as he ignore the flirty stare of the redhead woman.

"Ohh me I want cheeseburger, large fries, strawberry cheesecake and large milkshake please?! thank you!"

"okay then it'll be ready in 15 minutes!" the waitress then left after she said thank you with a hint of disappointment for Jace ignoring her.

Arianne was checking the whole restaurant when Jace gave her a piece of paper.

"what's with this?" she ask him curiously.

"that's my schedule!"

She read it and frowned.

"why is it everyday that you have football practice?"

"well I told you how I love the sport remember?"

"whatever Jace! But I think the problem is that you are too focused on your sport that you even ditched your studies without you noticing it!"

He look at her with a scowl but didn't  say anything. "Jace I just want to help here don't get me wrong. Maybe you just have to limit your time practicing!"

"so what do you suggest then?" he ask her with a look of disappointment aside.

"well maybe instead of five days a week why don't you try lessen it into 3 days? There you'll have 2 days for studying!!?!"

"fine! but make sure you wont ditch me huh?"

"sure!"

They set their tutoring session every Tuesday and Thursday. But don't set the place yet. Just then their food arrives and they dig on it cause both of them are already starving. After he paid the bill, he brought her home.

When they arrived in her place, Jace ask her to stay a little more inside his car so she did. But then he didn't say anything after and just stare at her. Arianne felt conscious on the way he stare at her and it makes her feel uncomfortable, but she pretended that it didn't affect her in any way and so she just waited for him to say something while she play with the string of her bag. She never dare to look up to him knowing that he still staring at her and it's making her heart beats rapidly.

A few seconds later, Jace playfully grab her hand and look at it closely.

"Don't tell me you do palm reading now!?!!" Arianne tease him trying to kill the awkwardness in the air.

Jace laugh at what she said but didn't say anything and just continue holding and staring at her hand. Then surprisingly, Jace kiss the back of it. She was about to say something but her eyes landed on her dad's car that is slowly getting inside their garage.

"hey that's my dad's car. Jace let go of my hand now, i'm going inside!"

"goodnight my baby!" he said accompanied by a huge sigh as he let her hand go then she got out of his car.

Arianne's face turn red upon hearing him call her my baby but pretended to ignore it.

"goodnight Jace. Thanks for the dinner! I hope there'll be a next time for a free meal! Bye!" she said grinning. She felt so full! Full of food and Jace. Omg! he held and kissed her hand! Arianne thought happily.

She gave Jace one last wave then turn around into her house direction.

He gave her his gorgeous smile and then drove off.
