chapter5

Kira's pov.

“Kira!” Time stopped when he called my name, and only then did my rage calm down.

I got up from the ground, and turned towards him, but found that he was horrified.

His face was pale, and his lips parted while his jaw was hung low.

Why wouldn't he be? When his brother's blood was splattered all over the place.

“W-hat, what just happened?” He stammered, walking into the room since he had been standing by the door post.

I pressed my lips together, unable to speak.

“What have you done?!” He asked with tears in his eyes, running towards his brother's body.

“N-nothing. He tried to- to–”

“To what!” He growled, turning his already red eyes towards me.

“How can you do this to him, you're supposed to be my mate, why did you turn against…”

“Enough!” I interrupted, not being able to stand his words anymore. “Your beloved brother killed my sister, and tried to rape me just now, and that's all you could say?”

I questioned with raised brows, fisting my hands so hard as I tried to hold back the tears that threatened to fall down my cheek.

“Of course…” I trailed off, biting my lower lip in understanding as I nodded my head. “You support your brother's act, don't you? I told you he almost rapped me, your mate, and all you can say is how could I do this?”

I huffed at the end of my statement. I was hurting deeply, but he couldn't see that.

“My brother would never hurt whoever I love! Mate you say?” He asked, sizing me from head to toe. “We only just met!”

At his words my heart shattered into numerous bits. If only he understood the kind of pain he caused me just by saying this to me.

My eyes were filled with tears, but at the same time, I couldn't stop feeling dizzy. I tried to stand my ground despite feeling so sick.

Maybe it was the metallic smell of blood that filled the room that made me feel nauseous.

“Fuck you!” I screamed back, and he came close to me. He couldn't bring himself to hit me, else I was sure he wouldn't have done it.

Anger spilled out of him, and his hands were fisted so tight that his knuckles turned white.

He grabbed my hands, and pulled me close. We were so close that his breath fanned my face.

“Leave!”

I blinked twice to understand what he meant. “What?” My brows furrowed.

“You heard me!” He growled Impatiently, while his chest moved according to his fast pacing heartbeat.

“Are you fucking serious?” My words came out with pain as tears welled up in my eyes.

“You think this is a joke?” He asked with pain, and anger. “You're banished from my pack! Blood moon pack will never have a killer omega as it's Luna. Leave, or bear the consequences!”

At that point, I felt pain stabbing me over again. I stared at him, and regret kicked him.

The first regret was, “I should never have let him touch me.”

With a heavy heart, I walked out of the Packhouse, and didn't bother to look back. I still felt very sick, but I guessed it was because the mixed emotions were getting to me.

I was far deep in the woods, still feeling sick as I forced myself to find a new home when my ears caught the sound of someone moving behind the bushes. I stood for a while to listen, but then I heard something fast coming my way.

It was as fast as the wind. Thankfully, I dodged it, and was shocked when it got stuck in a tree close by.

“Fuck!” I yelled when I inspected the weapon before running as fast as my legs could carry me. My heart couldn't stop drumming in my chest either.

Despite the fact that I felt ill, I couldn't let my life end here tonight. A silver arrow meant death.

My hair danced along with the wind, and sweat formed while I ran.

I could hear the arrows being shot my way, and that was a motivation not to stop even when I felt life leaving me.

I kept looking back as I ran, until I bumped into something hard which caused me to lose my balance.

My sight was blurred as I hit the ground, and I couldn't clearly see who it was. Another issue was that I was too weak to get up on my feet.

Whoever it was towered me as my eyes closed to the darkness.

I could hear someone humming my favourite song as I slowly opened my eyes which caused me to wince due to the bright lights in the room.

“Hiss…” I groaned, trying to sit up when a middle aged man held me down.

“You shouldn't really stress,” she spoke with a smile.

“Am I in heaven?” I spoke as soon as I turned to her because although she was middle aged, she was still so pretty.

She giggled. “No you're not sweetie. I'm Mary, and I was the nurse who took care of you since you were brought in.”

“What?” I questioned. “Brought in?” I was shocked, but she smiled, rubbing my hair gently.

“Two days ago. You entered into a coma, but you're out. I'm happy you didn't lose your baby from the trauma.”

I widened my eyes at her words, sitting up at the speed of light.

“What did you say?” I asked, staring at her, and hoping she made a mistake.

She laughed again. “You're pregnant miss, didn't you know that?” She furrowed her brows, and her eyes were glued on me, waiting for an answer.

However, there wasn't time to because we turned to the door that barged opened.

As soon as I sighted him, I didn't know what got over me, but I felt connected with the grumpy looking man.

He had the bluest eyes, and was about six foot, and two inches tall. His black hair commented his eyes, and he looked more like an immortal.

From the looks of it, he didn't seem worried. He looked angry. However, My heart ignored his scary demor, and began thumping hard.

Just then, my lips could only murmur the words.

“MATE...”

Which caused his eyes to open wide.

“What did you say?” He inquired with raised brows, and a piercing gaze that was enough to make me melt.
