Chapter 38. An Easy Bargain

The young wolf that accompanies Nelika has been eliminated from the trial. He got caught in one of the traps being set up by the higher rank warriors of the cold mountain pack. It was anticipated as he seems to be weaker and just earned the sympathy of Alpha Zero's daughter which is why he went this far.

Now I am trying to track down her scent, for I can smell her in the grasses that lead into a narrow hidden path leading to a part of the cold mountain pack lands. I sniff the ground and recognized her scent, the alluring scent of a female wolf. She is not aware that her scent is very distinctive and that any male wolf would easily recognize her.

It's a narrow path and has taken most of my time trying to fit my big wolf body in between the tall and thick grasses of the land.
